There are so many other verses about God dealing with nations e.g. Ps 9:17- The wicked shall be turned into hell, & all the nations that forget God.

Please see my blog http://drgoldsite.wordpress.com/2014/07/01/post-christian-america-and-the-new-world-order/

Thank you,
~DrgoldAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03819777058480195924noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-734817143510679440.post-28285864736703030892014-07-20T20:20:03.676-04:002014-07-20T20:20:03.676-04:00You are actually both correct. God most certainly deals with nations as a whole and also with individuals at judgement.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-734817143510679440.post-84245982544935388432012-10-02T13:26:28.077-04:002012-10-02T13:26:28.077-04:00The Fisherman is correct, and the post was well pu...The Fisherman is correct, and the post was well put. God deals with individuals and not “countries” you stated……………
Perhaps the most clear indication of God's interaction with nations today may be found in Jeremiah 18:5-11: "At one moment I (God) might speak concerning a nation or concerning a kingdom to uproot, to pull down, or to destroy it" (Jer. 18:7). Verse 8 continues, "If that nation against which I have spoken turns from its evil, I will relent concerning the calamity I planned to bring on it." "Or at another moment I might speak concerning a nation or concerning a kingdom to build up or to plant it" (Jer. 18:9). Verse 10 demonstrates God's reaction to a nation: "If it does evil in My sight by not obeying My voice, then I will think better of the good with which I had promised to bless it."
Jeremiah 18: makes it clear that blessings and curses upon a nation depend upon their collective relationship with God as a nation. God who is the same yesterday and today. Our interpretation of God's Word may change from time to time. But, God does not change. Accountability for our actions as an individual, but also as a nation is a universal principle. It applies to Jews, Christians, Japan, Russia, America, (1 Cor. 6:3) and every sentient being throughout the universe.

There is nothing idolatrous referring to America as a nation in regard's to God's judgement, indeed it is in line with God’s Word.

I would suggest that it is idolatrous to suggest God does not deal with nations…..

The people who read our two posts can decide for themselves which is correct.

Good post Fisherman, keep up the labor for the Lord.

Maranatha.
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-734817143510679440.post-23738904057623367932012-10-02T11:07:03.585-04:002012-10-02T11:07:03.585-04:00There is no such thing as "America" refe...There is no such thing as "America" referred to as a whole. It is not a single entity, but it is made of an amalgam of all sorts of people. God deals with individauls not countries, however it does make for some inaccurate sensationalism. Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. The continuing referrence to "America" represents an idolatrous view of the nation in which God has planted us. It is an easy target. But judgement begins in the church!Rick Fruehhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05879848568892457571noreply@blogger.com
