Oh how true these words are!

Oh I want to see Him:

As I journey through the land, singing as I go,
Pointing souls to Calvary—to the crimson flow,
Many arrows pierce my soul from without, within;
But my Lord leads me on, through Him I must win.
Refrain:
Oh, I want to see Him, look upon His face,
There to sing forever of His saving grace;
On the streets of glory let me lift my voice,
Cares all past, home at last, ever to rejoice.
When in service for my Lord dark may be the night,
But I’ll cling more close to Him, He will give me light;
Satan’s snares may vex my soul, turn my thoughts aside;
But my Lord goes ahead, leads whate’er betide.
When in valleys low I look toward the mountain height,
And behold my Savior there, leading in the fight,
With a tender hand outstretched toward the valley low,
Guiding me, I can see, as I onward go.
When before me billows rise from the mighty deep,
Then my Lord directs my bark; He doth safely keep,
And He leads me gently on through this world below;
He’s a real Friend to me, oh, I love Him so.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07091261906458642206noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-734817143510679440.post-51750054080971020072010-11-11T20:15:13.296-05:002010-11-11T20:15:13.296-05:00The destruction that God will reign down on this w...The destruction that God will reign down on this world was at one time well known (and heeded) in times past. The best selling book (other than the Bible itself) for many years was John Bunyan’s A Pilgrims progress. If you remember “Pilgrim” was FLEEING from “the city of destruction”. The book was well read for well over 100 years after it was first published. The Hymns of the average protestant Church also reflected this coming day of wrath as little as 50 yeas ago. God’s wrath is well represented in the Bible in both the old and new testaments. The Bible makes it CLEAR that this day is coming. No reasonable person can read the Bible can deny it; yet they do!

My Brothers, even the WORLD had a healthy “Fear” of almighty God just 50 years ago. God’s name was treated with fear and respect even by people who were not believers. Today we find our self’s in a world where even places that call themselves CHURCH’S deny the truth on the word of God. Fear of God is frowned upon in our “enlightened society”. Lies about what the Bible teaches abound and the concepts taught in the Bible and John Bunyan’s book are very rare. We are truly a lost nation and a lost people. I doubt if the people Paul addressed on Mars Hill were as lost as we are. We have traded the truth for “the lie” and we as a nation are destined for destruction. The “Jesus” most of us believe in is NOT the “Jesus” of the Bible. The “Truth” we chose to live by is NOT the “Truth” taught in God’s word.

Almost every part of our society is now dedicated to outright blasphemy of Almighty God. Our governmental intuitions from the least to the greatest train biblically illiterate citizens damnible lies about anything concerning God. Our music blares out lies to young and old alike, our society have become the agent of Satin and rush, enemas to there own destruction.

I myself find myself as John did with a heartfelt prayer on my lips penned at the end of the last book of the Bible; “He which testifieth these things (Jesus) saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus” Rev. 22:20

The Cold TexanThe Cold Texannoreply@blogger.com
