Song Devotional
Beloved, trials are never ever easy, but our Heavenly Father calls His blood-bought children to see them through the eyes of faith and to focus on His ETERNAL RIGHTEOUS integrity and sovereignty for His good working in us (Phil. 2:13).
James tells us, "Count it all joy...when you meet trials of various kinds." Our joy is not in the trial itself, but in knowing that our loving Heavenly Father is using it to grow our faith, strengthen our character, and make us more like Jesus Christ.
As we cling to our Heavenly Father's ETERNAL promises, our hearts begin to burst into melody even in the fire. We know through past experiences that He has not abandoned us, that He is always with us, discipling us through every fiery trial and faithfully working all things together for good for those who love Him in Spirit and Truth (Romans 8:28).
Like gold refined by fire, our Precious Heavenly Father uses trials to purify our faith and deepen our dependence upon Him. Every tear, every struggle, and every hardship is held in the hands of our ETERNAL sovereign Shepherd, who is completing the good work He began in us (Philippians 1:6).
When the fire has accomplished our Heavenly Father's purpose, we will look back with exceeding joy and say, "The Lord was with me every step of the way." What once seemed impossible becomes another testimony of His faithfulness, and our hearts can fully and truly count it all joy!

Reflection Questions
Am I looking at my trials through my circumstances or through my Heavenly Father's promises and working?
How might my Heavenly Father be using this season in my pilgrim journey to strengthen my faith and make me more like His dear precious Son?
Can I already see ways my Heavenly Father has used past fiery trials for my good, growth, and His ETERNAL glory?
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for never leaving me in the midst of life's trials. Help me to trust that You are working even when I cannot see what You are doing. Strengthen my faith to stand on Your ETERNAL promises and to rejoice in Your perfect ETERNAL plan for my life.
Use every trial to purify my heart, deepen my love for You, teach me in the ways of RIGHTEOUSNESS, and conform me to the image of Your dear and precious Son. Fill my heart with songs of praise, knowing that all things are working together for Your glory and my ETERNAL good.
Teach me, dear Lord, to walk by faith until Your work is complete, so that my life may testify that You were faithful through every fire. Receive the glory in all of this.
I ask these things in the precious name of Jesus, Amen.
