Fishers of Men
Song Devotional
When Jesus called Peter and Andrew, He gave them a simple invitation:
"Follow Me, and I will make you become fishers of men." (Mark 1:17)
They left their nets and followed the Good Shepherd. From that day on, Jesus discipled them, transformed them, worked through them, and used them to proclaim His ETERNAL Gospel for His ETERNAL glory to a lost and dying world.
That same call is for every blood-bought believer today in Jesus Christ.
When we trust Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we are called not only to believe in Him but to follow Him wholeheartedly for His ETERNAL glory and honor. As we abide in Christ, He faithfully shapes our hearts and leads us by His Spirit and His Word in His chosen paths of RIGHTEOUSNESS for His Great Name's sake. Beloved, Jesus' abiding presence is always with us as we share the ETERNAL hope of the cross, which the world calls foolish, and Jesus' RIGHTEOUSNESS completed work on it, which they so ETERNALLY desperately need.
Almighty God delights in using ordinary people who have surrendered their lives to Him for His ETERNAL honor and glory. Our strength is not enough, but His grace and power working through us make us useful vessels for His kingdom. As we walk and abide with Him, we will see how precious He truly is and the wonders of His foolish cross that he has called us to proclaim to this deceived and dying lost world.
The question is simple, my beloved:
Will you leave your nets and follow Jesus? Not as easy as it is asked, is it?
Many today in our last-days world call themselves Christians, but beloved, Jesus calls us to be His learners, under His Yoke, crucified, abiding disciples who trust Him whole heartedly, obey Him fully, and follow Him wherever He leads. God help us, dear friends. As we walk with our Faithful and Good Shepherd, He makes us faithful fishers of men in His grace and mercy for His ETERNAL glory. There is no greater calling in all ETERNITY, my beloved. May it be so for all of the redeemed.

Reflection Questions
What "nets" is Jesus asking me to leave behind so I can follow Him more completely and fully?
Am I simply a believer, or am I actively following Jesus as my Lord and His faithful disciple?
Who has God placed in my life to share the hope of His ETERNAL Gospel with this week?
Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for calling me to follow Your Beloved Son. Help me to trust You enough to leave behind anything that keeps me from wholehearted obedience and following You throughout this pilgrim journey. Continue to disciple my heart and make me a faithful fisher of men. Fill me with Your grace, courage, and agape love as I share the ETERNAL Gospel with the lost. May my life be a vessel that brings ETERNAL glory to You until the day I see You face to face.
