Have Faith in God - Unto the Chief Musician Music Song Devotional

HAVE FAITH IN GOD

SONG DEVOTIONAL

Beloved, there are seasons along our pilgrim journey when Almighty God's will simply does not seem to make any sense. The pathway may be filled with unknowns, tears, disappointments, and unanswered questions. Yet it is in those very moments that our Heavenly Father lovingly calls His children to simply have faith in God! Faith does not rest upon what we can presently see or understand, but upon the unchanging RIGHTEOUS character and integrity of the One who faithfully leads us through life's floods and fires.

Like David, who “encouraged himself in the LORD his God” (1 Sam. 30:6), we must sometimes preach this simple truth to our own hearts: “Have faith in God” (Mark 11:22). Though we cannot always understand His purposes, by faith we know our Faithful Shepherd is leading and discipling us in it all! We know by faith His ETERNAL RIGHTEOUS integrity and character, His ETERNAL agape love, His ETERNAL wisdom, and His ETERNAL precious promises. Therefore, beloved, we can confidently believe that Almighty God is working all things together for our good as He disciples us and conforms us into the image of His precious Son (Rom. 8:28–29). It is in such horrific unknowns that, by having faith in our Heavenly Father's precious Son and pressing on, we become more and more and more our precious Shepherd.

Beloved, even when “my tears have been my meat day and night” (Psalm 42:3), Almighty God remains ETERNALLY faithful. He uses every trial to deepen our faith, draw us closer to Jesus, and teach us to walk by faith rather than by sight. These present difficulties are temporary, but they are working toward an “ETERNAL weight of glory” beyond comparison (2 Cor. 4:17–18). Therefore beloved, keep your eyes upon Jesus and the prize at the end of your pilgrim journey! There is a "well done thou good and faithful servant" waiting for you! When you cannot understand His hand, trust His heart. When you cannot see the pathway, follow your ETERNAL Faithful Shepherd. Whatever today may bring you, encourage your own heart once again: Have faith in God!
