FLAG DAY - Hey... America Remember Me?
Remember when I led the parade? Hats came off and hands were placed over one's heart as I approached and passed by.
Remember where I have been and what I stand for— ANZIO, NORMANDY, LEYTE, IWO JIMA, KOREA, VIETNAM, IRAQ, AFGHANISTAN and the ongoing war on terror, etc. The memorial honor rolls of those who did not come back are saluted when you salute me.
REMEMBER THE 31-WORD PLEDGE:
I PLEDGE ALLEGIANCE...I am RESPONSIBLE as an INDIVIDUAL not to take our freedom for granted and thus to risk losing it.
...AND TO THE REPUBLIC FOR WHICH IT STANDS...Not a DEMOCRACY (where I speak for myself, you speak for yourself) but a REPUBLIC (a Constitutional Republic governed by law where I am represented). The word DEMOCRACY does not appear in our documents of LIBERTY (The Declaration of Independence, The Articles of Confederation, the Constitution or the Bill of Rights).
...ONE NATION, UNDER GOD...our right to know that LIFE and LIBERTY are GOD-GIVEN RIGHTS, not the GRANT of GOVERNMENT. Our Constitution gives us a government limited to the delegated authority that "WE THE PEOPLE" allotted to each branch of civil government.
...with LIBERTY and JUSTICE for all...LIBERTY is personal and internal. The Liberty Bell and the Statue of Liberty are fitting symbols. JUSTICE is "the virtue which consists in GIVING TO EVERYONE WHAT IS HIS DUE." Thus justice calls for law and equity, right rules and fair play for all. This explains the once prevailing concept in America— PUNISHMENT TO FIT THE CRIME.
To lose the meaning of OUR FLAG is to encourage the loss of our Republican form of government and our God-given, responsible pursuit of LIFE and LIBERTY.
"REMEMBER, O LORD, Thy tender mercies and Thy lovingkindnesses; for they have been ever of old. REMEMBER not the sins of my youth, nor my trans- gressions: according to Thy mercy REMEMBER Thou me for Thy goodness' sake, O LORD." (Psalm 25:6-7). "Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear Him. For he knoweth our frame; HE REMEMBERETH that we are dust" (Psalm 103:13,14). "REMEMBER ME, O LORD, with the favour that Thou bearest unto thy people: O visit me with Thy salvation" (Psalm 106:4).
May you be BOTHERED to the point of being BLESSED. May our GRAND OLD FLAG remind us of our great American HERITAGE, "one nation under God" without Whose grace we cannot survive the erosion and corrosion of our day. May you look to the GOD OF TRUTH in the Person of the Lord Jesus Christ (who said, "I am the truth"--John 14:6), so that you might REST in the TRUTH of God's Word ("the truth shall make you free"--John 8:32) and the TRUTH of God's Son ("the Son shall make you free"--John 8:36). To RECEIVE HIM is to receive the LIFE and LIBERTY He alone can give (John 1:12).

The GREAT Fame and Emptiness of David Cassidy
David Cassidy of the "Partridge Family" fame and Super-Iconic Pop Star of the early 70's, passed on into ETERNITY last November leaving his fans greatly saddened and nostalgic (Eccl. 12:13-14, Rom. 5:12-21; 6:23, Heb. 9:27). It had been revealed back in November that David had died from dementia-related issues, but yesterday it was revealed that David's true fatal illness and death was alcohol-related. Years of fame and alcohol abuse had finally taken its toll on the Mega Singer's body, and in the end, left him ETERNALLY empty and with organ failure. How horrifically tragic is the life of a Mega Star! Emptiness and loneliness are usually their only companions as they walk this life's wide and short road (Matt. 7:13-14). Alcoholism, sex, fame and drug addiction are usually the vain means to find fulfillment for man's ETERNAL void; but ALWAYS loneliness, unfulfillment and death is the price of fame. Just look at how many Super Stars have been slain by this CONSUMING MONSTER in the last 50 years in our super-technological world. Satan does not give that position of fame in his kingdom without a HORRIFIC ETERNAL price tag attached to it (Mark 8:36-38)! Very, very few end up surviving fame's reckless trip and even fewer come to a saving knowledge of their Creator in Spirit and TRUTH (John 1:12, Acts 17:28-30, Rom. 10:2-4).
Look at how many have been slain by this CONSUMING MONSTER in the last 50 years in our super-technological world. Satan does not give that position in his kingdom without a HORRIFIC ETERNAL price tag attached to it!
How TRAGIC and empty to the last! O that David turned in repentance and faith to His ETERNAL Creator to find the TRUE ETERNAL FULFILLMENT' which a son of Adam can ONLY find through Jesus Christ (Matt. 11:28-30, John 10:10, Rom. 5:12-21, Gal. 5:22, Phil. 4:7). As far as I can see in my research of David, David had ZERO desire to be saved from his sins and in repentance turn to Jesus Christ for ETERNAL salvation (Matt. 11:28-30, John 3:16-17). Many will not like that REALITY, but dear friends this is the ETERNAL TRUTH! It is even a very sobering question to ask one's self, "Am I saved and delivered from my sins?"
The Old Testament Book of Ecclesiastes is the tragic biography of Adam’s fallen race (i.e., humanity) told by the wisest of all men, King Solomon. King Solomon possessed it all: wisdom, brilliance, discernment, authority, prestige, riches/ wealth, property/ possessions, power, fame, women and glory. Amazingly, as he was reflecting on his life in his last days, he made this very sobering and tragic statement: “Vanity of vanities…all is vanity” (Eccl. 1:1-15, 12:7-8).
Dust in the Wind, the title of a song released by the group Kansas in the late 1970’s, is a melancholy piece regarding the terrible uncertainties and brevity of earthly existence. There is no certainty, no hope, no expectation, no solution and no deliverance. The song is painted with pessimistic colors and presents a bleak and tragic picture with absolute abandonment and no salvation to be found. All we are is dust in the wind….

What the majority of humanity (and the song) greatly misses is that without Almighty God, our Creator and Sustainer and His righteousness, all is indeed an absolute tragedy, vanity and dust in the wind (Psalm 39:5). My friend, that was never God’s plan and purpose for His creation (Rom. 5:12-21). It is Almighty God’s sincerest desire that all would come to the saving knowledge of His Son Jesus Christ and have ETERNAL LIFE. The Bible states:
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved" (John 3:16-17)
"Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die…?" (Ezekiel 33:11)
"For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost" (Matt 18:11)
"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light" (Matt 11:28-30)
Jesus said, "The thief (Satan) cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly" (John 10:10)
Your existence here in time does not have to end in vanity. Almighty God has a great future plan and purpose for your life.
But as it is written, "Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him"(1 Cor. 2:9)"Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live" (John 11:25)
"And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever" (Rev. 22:5)

Without Almighty God’s remedy for our sinful condition which is found only in the Person of His Son Jesus Christ, indeed all is truly vanity and dust in the wind.

"For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? " (Matt 16:26)
"Behold, thou hast made my days as an handbreadth; and mine age is as nothing before thee: verily every man at his best state is altogether vanity. Selah" (Psalm 39:5).

In the end, Solomon fully comprehended that Almighty God was absolutely essential for the existence of man. To know Him is life ETERNAL with great expectation and purpose!
"Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for thisis the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil" (Eccl. 12:13,14)
Do you know the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior? To know Him is to have ETERNAL LIFE and possess ETERNAL HOPE. May it be your sincere desire to know the One that made it all possible for you to have all of God’s highest and best for your life - both here in time and also for ETERNITY.
The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!

How Will We EVER Stand?
Almighty God has made ETERNAL provision in His dear and precious Son Jesus Christ for the transgressions of the ENTIRE world, which includes YOU and ME (John 3:16-17, 1 Peter 3:18, 1 John 2:2, 4:10)! That is the REALITY that we as individuals most desperately need to comprehend and understand. May I my dear friend ask you this VERY sobering and pertinent question? How can YOU or I (TRANSGRESSORS of Almighty God’s PERFECT LAW) ever stand before Almighty God our Creator who is ABSOLUTELY PERFECT (RIGHTEOUS)? How can we EVER enter into His PERFECT and HOLY Heaven (Isa. 53:6, 64:6, Rom. 7:24-25, Rev. 21:27)?
It is ABSOLUTELY HOPELESS without God's PERFECT Lamb.
My dear friends, we NEVER can (Rom. 3:23). It is ABSOLUTELY HOPELESS without God's PERFECT Lamb (John 1:29, 1 Peter 3:18-19, Rev. 1:5). We are in a horrific and desperate NEED for Divine propitiation and a Savior (Rom. 7:24-25, 1 John 2:2, 4:10). My dear friends it is when one places their absolute trust IN Jesus Christ that that individuals transgressions are forgiven and removed and the RIGHTEOUSNESS of Christ – who died in our stead - is transferred unto us (Rom. 4:5, 5:8)! It is IN Christ where our RIGHTEOUSNESS is found alone not in anything we ever can do (Rom. 7:24-25, 10:2-4, Titus 3:5)!

What You Find When You Look Into the Lawless Leftist Mind?
Dear friends, Do you like riddles? Well, riddle me this... What is more darker than the deepest cave, more chaotic than a 5-year-old T-Ball game without coaches and umpires, more irrational than "time and chance" creating from nothing the super genius laws and wonders of this universe and the mind that believes lawlessness and the violation of moral laws will bring to being a world Utopia of harmony and peace? The answer is very simple; the reprobate mind of a man, woman, boy or girl that seeks a rational and harmonious existence while REJECTING the sound moral principles and fundamental absolutes instilled into the creation by our ETERNAL CREATOR (John 8:44, Rom. 1:18-32, James 3:9-18, Jude 1:10-13).
These reprobate zombies of ETERNAL DEATH and DESTRUCTION (Isa. 57:20-21, Jude 1:10-13, Rev. 20:11-5; 22:11), walk the earth in utter confusion, fearful, wrathful, frustrated, violently, contentiously, vexed; ever seeking peace and harmony but only finding anarchy, turmoil, strife, discord, nihilistic and unrest! Indeed they are like the troubled sea which NEVER finds rest. EVER seeking and HORIFFICLY TRAGIC; NEVER finding (Psalm 14:1-3, Isa. 48:22; 57:20-21; 59:8, Rom. 1:18-32, Gal. 5:19-21, Jude 1:10-13).

They possess a fear of moral absolutes and believe that true freedom is to be free from any Divine instituted moral absolutes or laws that suppress their unbridled passions.
The Lord Jesus stated, that you shall know men by their fruits and by their actions (Matt. 7:16-20). It is simple enough to see that where ever the “virtues” of secular liberalism are promoted and exercised that poverty, disease, anarchy, crime, social chaos, the break down of the family unit, violence and horrific social devastation are to be found. When one rejects and abandons the core moral building blocks for a healthy society for a godless delusion of lawlessness, expect to find social devastation and chaos (2 Tim. 3:1-7).
By applying these lawless solutions, these excel the rate of today’s social ills at EXPONENTIAL rates.

A DAY TO REMEMBER THEIR SACRIFICE!
WHEN? In at least 10 major wars, in 18+ conflict situations from the 1898 Spanish American War to the Persian Gulf War and even to the present War on Terrorism, which is like no other war.
WHO? More than 1,000,000 lives in the 10 major wars given up for something of greater value, something having a more pressing claim.
WHY? Not to aggressively seek to get or to gain what someone else has, whether it be land, power or wealth (see James 4:1-3), but to DEFEND our nation “and secure the Blessing of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America” which is being threatened from within and from without. God's Word opposes internationalism because a one world government opens the door to the total control of a society by a system which cannot and will not do right of and by itself. See Genesis 11:1-9 and Revelation chapters 17-18.
GOD'S WORD teaches that nations are for restraining and maintaining a balance of power among nations for peaceful existence. A nation may be led to want or to possess what belongs to other nations, but they are hindered from such because of other nations. Each nation is able to maintain the God-given privilege of choosing God and His Word, of marriage, of family, of law and order. The nations, consisting of families, have the right to defend their territories.
GEORGE WASHINGTON told his troops: “The time is near at hand which must probably determine whether Americans are to be freemen or slaves; whether they are to have any property they can call their own; whether their houses and farms are to be pillaged and destroyed, and themselves consigned to a state of wretchedness from which no human effort will deliver them. The fate of unborn millions will now depend, under God, on the courage and conduct of this army.”

PRINCIPLE: When those who know and remember fail to teach and to display to the following generation their rights, responsibilities and privileges, it is only a matter of time until they, by neglect, fail to appreciate and guard the freedoms American men and women have paid for with the loss of their lives and the loss of their limbs (Judges 2:7, 10, 11).
As the nation of Israel had the right to choose life and blessing in their land and lives (Deut. 30:19-20) because of the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ (Isaiah 53; Lev. 16-17), so we can choose Him and the resultant LIFE and BLESSING by an act of our own will: “But as many as received HIM, to them gave HE power to become the sons [children] of God, even to them that believe on His Name.” “He that hath the Son hath LIFE; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.” John 1:12; 1 John 5:12.
