The 80th Anniversary of D-DAY - A Spiritual Analogy

On June 6, 1944, 150,000 Allied soldiers clambered aboard heaving landing craft and braved six-foot swells, waves of machine-gun fire, and more than 6 million mines to claim a stretch of sand at a place called Normandy. Their mission was to carve out an Allied foothold on the edge of Nazi-occupied Europe for the army of more than one million that would follow them in the summer of 1944. This army would burst forth from the beachhead, rolling across Europe into the heart of Germany, liberating millions, toppling a genocidal regime, and ending a nightmare along the way. As we here at the IFB remember the 80th anniversary of this monumental historical event and the valor of those brave men who made up those liberating forces - the spearhead to liberate millions from Nazi oppression and tyranny - I cannot help but think of another highly significant day in the history of mankind which changed the course of mankind FOREVER.

On this Day of days, all was laid on the line for the rescue and liberation of all humanity from the tyranny and oppression of Lucifer (Satan), who is the demonic fascist and oppressor of all the world (Luke 4:5-6; Ephesians 2:1-3; Hebrews 2:14-15). Fallen humanity had been taken into captivity by Lucifer and enslaved in their transgressions. The horrible effects and consequences of Adam's fallen race are deadly and devastating and we all were in great need of rescue from the ETERNAL consequences (Romans 6:23a, 7:24).

The Son of Almighty God debarked of all His DEITY and His ETERNAL glory to bear the Cross of sin and shame for ALL of Adam’s fallen race.

Oh, on this day - The Day of all days - the Lord of Glory, the ETERNAL Son of Almighty God, the Word made flesh; debarked to bear the Cross of sin and shame for ALL of Adam’s fallen race (Rom. 5:12-19). He counted not His life precious unto death. He gave His last full measure (Isa 53, John 10:11, 19:30; Philippians 2:5-8; Hebrews 12:2)! He paid the FULL price for you and me so that through Him we might be LIBERATED from the oppression and tyranny of the devil (John 8:36; Acts 10:38; Heb. 2:14-15), and DELIVERED from this present evil world (Isaiah 53, Galatians 1:4; Eph. 2:2-3) and from sin and death (Psalm 103:12; 1 Cor. 15:53-57)! AMEN!

Jesus gave His life that you might live and be free!

HIS infinite love, HIS selflessness, HIS steadfastness, HIS faithfulness, HIS righteousness, HIS commitment, and passion made possible our redemption and justification (1 Cor. 1:30; Phil. 2:5-8; Heb. 2:9-10, 12:2). He opened wide the doors of Heaven that ALL might enter in who put their ABSOLUTE TRUST in Him (John 1:12; Acts 16:31; Heb 10:19). AMEN!

The Victory of All Victories!

On the third day, He arose victorious from the grave and He defeated our arch-foes - Lucifer, the evil world system, and sin and death (Gen 3:15, 1 John 4:4, 5:4-5; 1Cor. 15:54-57)! He now sits at the right hand of Almighty God to testify and to make intercession for ALL who put their trust in Him (Psalm 110:1; Heb. 1:3, 7:25, 10:12)!

Oh, Glory! Oh, Praise and Laud to the Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world (John 1:29, 1 Peter 1:18-21, Revelation 5)!

HE ALONE has fought and worked to liberate you from your transgressions, sins, and bondage!

Would His countless miracles of healing the lame, blind, sick and demon-possessed win over the masses from sea to shining sea? Well... Tragically the heart of a man is NOT changed by witnessing signs and wonders (Matt. 13, Rom. 10:17). Man will just about justify, excuse and do anything rather than changing and repenting to Almighty God's saving grace (John 3:19-21, Rom. 1:18-32). The history of mankind is full of such godless testimonies (Psalm 106:7, John 5:1-18, Acts 2:22-23, Rev. 11:3-13, Rev. 20:6-15). I guarantee you that the majority of Americans; who would have seen Jesus; would in like manner (Liberals and Conservatives); by the end of His 3 1/2 year "American" ministry; would have had enough of Him, His ETERNAL realities, His cries of repentance to a lost and dying world, and would in national unison shout; CRUCIFY Him and put Him to death! The country we live in today has absolutely NO PLACE for Almighty God, RIGHTEOUSNESS, REPENTANCE, the Bible or the Lord Jesus Christ! So when push comes to shove and the chips are down, when one's back is up against the wall; the true nature of an individual is then revealed and it "ain't" pretty! Such was the heart in Jesus' day and such is the heart of our day.

As it were, Jesus (at His visitation) had absolutely dominated the “news cycle” of His day for 3 ½ years! Jesus would have been constantly talked about in all of the newspapers and on all of the radio talk shows, blogs and mainstream media outlets. The Sadducee and Pharisee talk show hosts of that day would ignorantly miss represent Him to the kool-aid drinking Israeli masses of conservatives and liberal Jews of Jesus day. His enemies would have be on 24/7 slandering campaigns to change and curb public opinion against Him. His WONDERFUL WORDS OF LIFE and ETERNAL REDEMPTION to a doomed and fallen world would have been called intolerant, hate speech, bigoted and satanic-phobia. There would have been constant polls questioning and asking, “Is Jesus the Messiah?” “Is He good for Israel?” “Do you believe that Jesus is God? etc. Religious and political hacks would have followed Him around Israel protesting, misrepresenting and misquoting His words, miracles and wonders to their godless doom! Those in opposition along with government bureaucrats would have sought to limit where Jesus was to speak and sent their spies out to follow Him to gather incriminating evidence against Him. The unbelieving Israeli socialists would have wanted Jesus to run for leadership as a socialist “cradle to grave” provider of the people without ever addressing their ETERNAL needs. Conservatives would have wanted Jesus to run for office to instill a conservative utopia (in this fallen world) where the people can honor God according to their “OWN” conservative mindset while REJECTING Almighty God’s ETERNAL RIGHTEOUS provision for ETERNITY (Rom. 10:2-4). The poor would have wanted something for nothing and the rich low taxes to grow the economy and their “worldly” business.

Unbelief, is unbelief, is unbelief, is unbelief! If it quacks like an unbelieving duck and walks like an unbelieving duck it is an unbelieving duck! It was so in Jesus Day and it is so in our day!

My friends NOTHING is EVER new under the sun! ABSOLUTELY NOTHING (Eccl. 1)! Whether conservative unbelief or liberal unbelief (politically or religiously), Unbelief, is unbelief, is unbelief, is unbelief! If it quacks like an unbelieving duck, and walks like an unbelieving duck, it is an unbelieving duck! It was so in Jesus' day and it is so in our day! Lucifer has - then and today - the same playbook and countless unbelieving godless demonic kool-aid drinkers to do his will (1 Cor. 4:3-4, Eph 2:2-3); who (conservative, moderate and liberal) REJECT Almighty God’s saving grace; which comes ONLY by His dear Son Jesus Messiah (John 3:16-21, 14:6, Acts 4:12). Conservative, Moderate, Liberal, Progressive etc… ALL are lost and ALL are fallen (Rom. 3:23, 5:12-21). Whatever part of the spectrum one might fall in, we are ALL equally a broken egg who desperately needs redemption and Almighty God's PERFECT atoning propitiation (Rom. 3:23, 5:12-21, 1 John 4:10)! That my dear friend is the bottom line and is our greatest need for our temporal existence here in time for today (Rom. 6:23).

A "Christian" ideology will not save you. A moral life will not save you. ONLY faith in the Person and Work of Jesus Christ will SAVE you from the wrath to come!

May I ask YOU this very simple question? If the Lord Jesus came today to America, would YOU receive Him as your Savior? The test to see for yourself is will YOU receive God's Word witness to Who He was? That is always the crossroad for an individual. A "Christian" ideology will not save you. A moral life will not save you. ONLY faith in the Person and Work of Jesus Christ will SAVE you from the wrath to come (John 3:16-17,36,  1 Thess. 1:10). My dear friend, see for yourself and take this simple challenge from Almighty God's Book. It will be then and there that YOU will see if - in the end - you would have yelled with the multitudes 2000 years ago "CRUCIFY HIM!!" or SAVE ME, Lord Jesus! Remembering Memorial Day in Light of Our Very Turbulent Day

This Memorial Day we think of those who gave their last full measure on our behalf as Americans; to preserve our freedoms and liberties in rightness, which only come from Almighty God (John 8:32, 36, Gal. 1:4, 3:13, 5:1, Titus 2:14). There can NEVER be TRUE liberty in this fallen world without a saving relationship to our Creator and apart from the firm adherence to Almighty God's moral absolutes (Prov. 14:34). Our Founding Fathers knew this to be true and have communicated this to us in their writings and in our nation's birth certificate. Today, America has full well rejected our founder's vision and have squandered the precious shed blood of the brave American soldier. Their shed blood was shed to preserve our nation's founding ideals and to preserve our nation for future generations. Our nation today has overthrown and replaced our Founding Father's vision and has hijacked the supreme sacrifice of the American soldier in the pursuit to legalize lawlessness, wokeness, tyranny, lewdness, perversion, decadence, political correctness, relativism, Marxism, anti- Judeo/Christian values and anti-Americanism.

For us Americans today, who truly still remember and honor our nation's founding and understand the American soldier's supreme sacrifice in the context of true Americanism, today is a most holy day.

We are to pass along their remembrance and to teach our children that they would know of their valor, comprehend their sacrifice and NEVER forget.

In light of this Memorial Day I cannot help but take it to the ETERNAL level and think on the SUPREME and ULTIMATE sacrifice on behalf of the whole world, which shall endure FOREVER and transcends the limited confines of time and ETERNITY (Isa. 53, John 1:29, 3:16-17, 1 Peter 1:18-19, Rev. 1:5, 4:9-10).

There is ONLY One who is RIGHTEOUS and GAVE himself for the sins and transgressions of the whole world. That One is the Son of Almighty God Jesus Christ. The Bible states;

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved" (John 3:16-17).

"For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit" (1 Peter 3:18).

As we see lawlessness abounding in these present days with no end in sight, may your heart be looking to the Savior of mankind. All of our HOPE is found in Him.

It is absolutely crucial for your ETERNITY. He will deliver you from ALL of your transgressions against the ETERNAL RIGHTEOUS absolutes of Almighty God and the lawlessness of your heart (Jer 17:9). May you place your trust in Him today! You will NEVER be the same!

"Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ" (2 Tim.2:3)!


"If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God" (Col 3:1)!

"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings (godly laud and praises) in heavenly places in Christ" (Eph 1:3)!

"For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith" (1 John 5:4)!

"Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me" (Plil. 4:13)!

"Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place" (2 Cor. 2:14)!

But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Cor. 15:57)!

Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us (Romans 8:37)!

"Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he (Christ) that is in you, than he (Satan) that is in the world (1 John 4:4)!

"Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God" (1 Cor.10:31)!

Now Soldier of the Lord; Take that Hill! In God's Will! For Almighty God's glory!

The Reality and Spiritual Shield of Faith for Victory!

Passing through trials and adversities, it might seem to some that Almighty God our RIGHTEOUSNESS is our enemy and that He doesn't care. Oh Beloved, this could not be further from the truth. Satan the slanderer loves it when we are deceived into thinking and believing this. But by faith in IN Almighty God and His ETERNAL RIGHTEOUS Word which is ABSOLUTE and TRUE, we can defeat this demonic strategy of the enemy of our souls. The Bible states: "For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?" (1 John 5:4,5).

The victory is gained when a person puts his or her faith and trust in the ETERNAL RIGHTEOUS PERSON of Almighty God. As believers in Christ, we can by faith get through the adversity and calamity that comes our way, knowing that God indeed loves us and has a plan to make us winners, not losers. The shield of Faith blocks ALL the demonic lies and fire darts and the Sword of the ETERNAL RIGHTEOUS Word of Almighty God slays all demonic attackers and lies (Eph. 6:10-20)! Listen to this promise: "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose" (Romans 8:26). God has a wonderful plan for you!

In these last days may we be strong and of good courage and have faith in Almighty God. May we see - with the eyes of faith - past this physical world into the very throne room of Heaven, and be more than a Conqueror in Christ.

'Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place" (2 Cor. 2:14).

Remember, Beloved: "Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you [i.e., Christ], than he that is in the world" [i.e., Satan and his minions] (1 John 4:4).
