Your Lamb Is Born - Song Devotional

SONG DEVOTIONAL

Beloved, from the very beginning of the fall, Almighty God promised that He would send a Savior. Throughout the Old Testament, the prophets looked forward to the coming Messiah, the One who would be born of a virgin, born in Bethlehem, and bring ETERNAL salvation to His people and the world. At the perfect time and in the fullness of time, every redemptive promise began to be fulfilled in the birth of Jesus Christ!

The angels joyfully announced, "For unto you is born this day... a Savior, who is Christ the Lord." The very Child lying in the manger was no ordinary child. He was Almighty God's promised Messiah, the propitiatory Lamb who would one day give His RIGHTEOUS life for the sins of the world, the ETERNAL WORD made flesh. The One wrapped in swaddling cloths would be crucified, then wrapped for burial, and then rise again in ETERNAL victory over sin and death.

Christmas is the celebration of Almighty God's faithfulness and His great agape love to us in Jesus. The Father so agape loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son so that through Him we might receive forgiveness of sins, ETERNAL life, and peace with Almighty God FOREVERMORE! The proclamation of Christmas is the proclamation of the ETERNAL love and faithfulness of Almighty God to all!

Beloved, indeed our promised Savior has come! Our Propitiation Lamb is born, and all ETERNAL hope is found in Him! Let your Merry Christmas this season be full of all the wondrous joy of the kept promises of our ETERNAL Creator! Indeed, our propitiation and Lamb is born!

PRAYER

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for faithfully keeping every promise You ever made. Thank You that all Your promises are FOREVER sound and true. Thank You for sending Your beloved Son Jesus, at just the right time, to be our propitiatory Lamb and risen Savior.

Thank You that the Child born in Bethlehem is the promised Messiah, the Lamb of God who gave Himself for our sins. Help us never to lose sight of the true meaning of Christmas, that because of Your great agape love, our Savior has come.

Fill our hearts with worship, gratitude, and joy. Help us to proclaim the good news that Jesus Christ is Lord and to share His agape love with others.

Thank You that through Jesus we have forgiveness, peace with You, and the hope of ETERNAL life.
