The Death and Vanity of George Michael - A Biblical Perspective

George Michael, the mega pop star of the 80's who sold over a 100 million albums and icon was found dead of heart failure over this Christmas holiday. As the majority of pop icons, Michael fully tasted the fruits of success that this fallen world has to offer. The fruit of fame, money, sex, drugs and idol worship left him empty, but in the end all that matters for the poorest pauper to the mega elite star is a saving relationship to their Creator in RIGHTEOUSNESS and TRUTH (Matt. 6:33, Rom. 10:2-4).

Michael's life was one that pushed and promoted a secular godless world view and at times he was an out spoken critic against Jesus Christ and Judeo/Christian moral absolutes. Michael had it all, but in the end we take nothing with us when we depart this fallen world except one of two accomplishments; our godless works and its lawless fruit; or our saving grace of the Lord Jesus Christ the Savior of the world (John 3:16-17,36, Rom. 6:23). I think it is very clear to all which George Michael chose based on his expression of life. Tragically we will see that ALL is VANITY and dust in the wind when we reject a saving relationship to our Creator in TRUTH and RIGHTEOUSNESS.

The Old Testament Book of Ecclesiastes is the tragic biography of Adam’s fallen race (i.e., humanity) told by the wisest of all men, King Solomon. King Solomon possessed it all: wisdom, brilliance, discernment, authority, prestige, riches/ wealth, property/ possessions, power, fame, women and glory. Amazingly, as he was reflecting on his life in his last days, he made this very sobering and tragic statement: “Vanity of vanities…all is vanity” (Eccl. 1:1-15, 12:7-8).

In possessing all of this stature and achievement, it never satisfied the  ETERNAL void of his heart. All of it did not - and could not - yield peace and contentment. In the end, all of Solomon's great achievements and pomp could never deliver him in the hour of his death. To Solomon, all indeed was truly dust in the wind...

Dust in the Wind, the title of a song released by the group Kansas in the late 1970’s, is a melancholy piece regarding the terrible uncertainties and brevity of earthly existence. There is no certainty, no hope, no expectation, no solution and no deliverance. The song is painted with pessimistic colors and presents a bleak and tragic picture with absolute abandonment and no salvation to be found. All we are is dust in the wind….

What the majority of humanity (and the song) greatly misses is that without Almighty God, our Creator and Sustainer and His righteousness, all is indeed an absolute tragedy, vanity and dust in the wind (Psalm 39:5). My friend, that was never God’s plan and purpose for His creation (Rom. 5:12-21). It is Almighty God’s sincerest desire that all would come to the saving knowledge of His Son Jesus Christ and have ETERNAL LIFE. The Bible states:

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved" (John 3:16-17)

"Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die…?" (Ezekiel 33:11)

"For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost" (Matt 18:11)

"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light" (Matt 11:28-30)

Jesus said, "The thief (Satan) cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly" (John 10:10)

Your existence here in time does not have to end in vanity. Almighty God has a great future plan and purpose for your life.

But as it is written, "Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him"(1 Cor. 2:9)

"Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live" (John 11:25)

"And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever" (Rev. 22:5)

Without Almighty God’s remedy for our sinful condition which is found only in the Person of His Son Jesus Christ, indeed all is truly vanity and dust in the wind.

"For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? " (Matt 16:26)

"Behold, thou hast made my days as an handbreadth; and mine age is as nothing before thee: verily every man at his best state is altogether vanity. Selah" (Psalm 39:5).

"And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire" (Rev 20:11-15)

In the end, Solomon fully comprehended that Almighty God was absolutely essential for the existence of man. To know Him is life  ETERNAL with great expectation and purpose!

"Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for thisis the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil" (Eccl. 12:13,14)

Do you know the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior? To know Him is to have  ETERNAL LIFE and possess  ETERNAL HOPE. May it be your sincere desire to know the One that made it all possible for you to have all of God’s highest and best for your life - both here in time and also for ETERNITY.

What Is True Beauty In Almighty God's Eyes

Christmas is not Pagan or "Holiday"

Each year around this time, in Facebook posts and elsewhere, we are certain to be lectured by well-meaning Christians on the "sinfulness" of celebrating Christmas. Their arguments can be persuasive. "In the Bible, God never told us to celebrate Christmas," they say. "Christmas has its roots in paganism," they say. So that must mean we're just dupes celebrating a pagan ritual when we ignorantly think we're gratefully celebrating the birth of Jesus. Who wants to celebrate what God never told us to celebrate and which supposedly has its roots in paganism? Not me! But are those things really true?

While there is no specific instruction in the Bible to honor or celebrate the birth of Jesus each year (and no, of course we don't know the actual date of His birth), neither is there any prohibition of it. Further, when you read the Gospel accounts of the birth of Jesus, it is clear that heaven and earth celebrated that miraculous event. Can you imagine the breathtaking awe felt by those humble shepherds at the sight of the multitude of heavenly host praising God on that powerful, wonderful occasion?


I can think of nothing more worthy of annual remembrance and celebration than the birth of Christ, alongside the celebration of His resurrection from the dead (the supposed "paganism" about which we are also lectured by those same well-meaning Christians. "The root word for Easter is the name of a pagan goddess!" they say). These events are part of the Gospel of salvation through Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

I submit to you that the truth is the opposite of these assertions of paganism. The claims that the pagan rituals in which Christmas (and Easter) supposedly are based pre- date Jesus' birth, earthly ministry, sacrifice and resurrection from the dead are wrong. Nothing "pre-dates" Jesus. He is the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. He is outside of time, because He is before time. All things were made by Him, and without Him nothing – nothing – was made. He is God. His willing sacrifice to save the world was set and planned before the dawn of time and creation of the world.

All pagan (satanic) rituals, "holidays" and celebrations throughout history are nothing more than cheap imitation knock-offs of the Real Thing. Satan has always tried to set himself in the place of Jesus, to be the object of worship. Before being cast to earth, he tried the same thing in heaven. To this end, he has created myriad false religions and rituals, from blatantly pagan to sneaky, fake "Christian." Not only are these designed for Satan to soak up men's worship, but also to deceive men and keep them from coming to a saving knowledge of Truth found only in the Word of God.

In so many different ways, since the fall of man in the Garden, the devil has deceptively imitated and mocked Christ's ministry and message, even before they played out in time. So, no, the celebration of the birth of Christ – that we call Christmas – does not have its roots in paganism. It's the other way around. Satan has always stolen the ideas he has from Christ's truth, and then he twists and perverts that truth into lies and grotesque wickedness.

Another point to consider is the fact that the world, currently under Satan's lordship, despises and reviles all things of God and Christ. Thus, we see Satan's war on Christmas, waged by his servants the God-haters among us. If Christmas was truly based in satanic paganism, don't you think the devil would be fine with its presence in the public square? Instead, we now see almost every major corporation aggressively scrubbing even the mention of Christmas from their businesses and advertising.

It's irksome to see the ridiculous level this corporate purging of Christmas has reached. Having been in radio for 22 years, I've watched as the generic word "holiday" has slowly replaced Christmas in national radio ads. It would be silly if it weren't so devilish:

"This holiday, give the gift your sweetheart wants!" "Make your holiday cards special!" "Find all your holiday gifts in one location!" "Do your holiday shopping with us, and save!" "We have the perfect holiday gifts at prices you'll love!"

It's not "holiday." It's Christmas. No one sends out "holiday cards." They send out Christmas cards. No one does their "holiday shopping." They do their Christmas shopping. No one gives "holiday gifts." They give Christmas gifts. This is yet another example of the world doing its worst to obliterate even the mention of Christ – in this case, as it appears in the word Christmas. The giant corporations are glad to scrub Christmas from their advertising, but boy do they love to load up on national "holiday" ads in order to separate you from your Christmas cash!

Christmas is not pagan, and it's not "holiday." It is part of the greatest True Story in the history of stories. How fortunate we are that God so loved the world! Jesus, stepped down from the glory of His heavenly throne and into the form of man. He was born into the world He loved so much that He willingly offered His precious, sinless life in place of ours, and all we have to do is believe and accept His free gift salvation.

For those well-meaning Christians who deeply believe celebrating Christmas is wrong, an offense to God, then for them, it is wrong. Let every man be convinced in his heart. But, for those of us who view it as the celebration of the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ, then let us celebrate it with joy and thanks to God.

Politically Correct Holiday Wishes for All - Just Don’t Say Merry Christmas

Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, my best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low-stress, non-addictive, gender-neutral celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practiced within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice, or secular practices of your choice, with respect for the religious/secular persuasion and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all. I also wish you a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2016 , but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make America great. Not to imply that America is necessarily greater than any other country nor the only America in the Western Hemisphere . Also, this wish is made without regard to the race, creed, color, age, physical ability, religious faith or sexual preference of the wish.
But to be non-politically correct: Merry Christmas!

A Little Space and Grace for America for the Moment - What Will You Do?

  
Countless conservative talk show hosts throughout these 50 states are daily trying to sustain their panic stricken masses with optimistic appraisals and fictitious ideas and remedies that can NEVER fix our current decimated fiscal state, let alone our catastrophic social crisis that has EXPONENTIALLY sent our national fiscal national debt to the moon. My dear friends, How do you save a steel sinking ship when it is filled with 95% water? The obvious answer… You do not! You abandon ship and hope that the sinking ship does not suck you into its abyss when it goes down to Davy Jones locker. That is where we are today here in America. Either you have the courage and fortitude to face this REALITY or you do not. The choice is yours, but whatever you choose, NOTHING will stop this ship from sinking! Do NOT deceive yourselves about our day and hour! My friend, NO Trump victory will stop the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse from their soon up coming horrific ride (Rev. 6).

Dear friends, DO NOT be deceived by the false security of a Trump presidential victory. Things might seem better for the moment since Donald Trump's win but the legions of lawless Americans have not gone away and neither have the godless haters of the Democratic Party and moderate Republican Party. Their passion and rage is stewing and you better believe they are NEVER going to concede to an America that somewhat believes in our founding Judeo/Christian values and documents. Sorry to shine the light all of the time in the darkness which offends so many, but this is what the Lord's watchmen do and we must speak His words in such days for the Day of the Lord is at hand and His Kingdom nigh! The scorn is ours to bare but for your sakes in love we warn you of what's at hand (2 Cor. 12:15).

Dear friend, do you personally have a saving relationship to the Lord Jesus Christ in Spirit, Truth and Divine REALITY to Almighty God's Son (John 1:12, 3:16-17, 1 John 5:13)? For this ETERNAL REALITY is what is ETERNALLY crucial and needed in such days! Almighty God has given Americans a little space and grace for the moment to REPENT and be saved, what will you do with your few moments in this life (Eccl. 1, Mark 8:36, 1 John 2:15-17)? The CHOICE is yours and so are the ETERNAL results (John 3:36, Rev. 20:11-15, Rev. 21, 22:1-5).

Satan's Final Showdown!

Today, human technology, violence, godlessness, oppression and darkness has FULLY saturated this world and is EXPONENTIALLY at its height; Lucifer is putting his final touches and preparing this present world and his fallen angelic hosts for the final showdown AGAINST Almighty God and His ETERNAL sovereignty of RIGHTEOUSNESS (Rev. 16:13-16).

In Lucifer's darkened vision and agenda he is seeking for himself the worship from Almighty God's creation, the establishment of his 666 global state under his anti Christ and the FINAL delusional designs for the eradication of his Creator (Almighty God). Ever since his expulsion from Heaven’s courtroom Lucifer has been so zealously at work trying to establish his darkened delusional kingdom and self worship. Whatever masses of raging humanity that remain during the last days of GREAT tribulation, Lucifer will lead to the plains of Megiddo for the Battle of Armageddon (Isa.14:12-17, John 8:44, Rev. 13: 4, 16:13-16).

The Battle of Armageddon will commence near the end of the seven year tribulation period in which a sin ravished “EXPONENTALLY CATISTROPHIC” world’s remnant will march to war against Almighty God and His ETERNAL sovereignty over His creation (Joel 3:2,12, Zech. 12:2, Rev. 16:13-16). This global remnant of rebellious humanity of the ravished world at this time will make their final delusional destination, clawing and crawling to war against their Creator. So focused, so driven, so blind with such EXPONENTIAL subjective, vindictive hatred that seven years of the EXPONENTIAL horrific consequences of godless man along with the SUPERNATURAL Divine judgments of Almighty God will NOT DETOUR these individual’s godless passion, hatred and consuming desire to establish their insane and delusional godless utopia and seek the full eradication Almighty God from His creation (Rev. 9:20-21, 16:9,11). No wonder Almighty God will laugh His head off at the full blown insanity of the nations of this period (Psalm 2).

The Justifier For Those Who Try To Justify Their Lawlessness

Today, even if you are a scoffer but want to truly know what this life is all about, call out to Almighty God your Creator and ask Him to bring you and show you the TRUTH and REALITY of this life (John 4:24, 14:6) and He most surely will! Believe me, I know my friends. Before I came to Christ I had my lists of justifications for my godless life and God knows I beat my drum but in the end Almighty God showed me in His mercy and grace how right He was and how doomed and wrong I was (Eph. 2:1-2).

 Oh my dear friends DO NOT remain a  fool and a godless scoffer! Almighty God ETERNALLY LOVES you very much care for you and has not forsaken you but you have forsaken Him and His RIGHTEOUSNESS.

The ETERNAL Son and Divine TRUTH will set you FREE and you will be liberated (FREE) indeed!

Dear friend may you see the ETERNAL picture of what this life (existence - born -die) is TRULY about. The ETERNAL Son and Divine TRUTH will set you FREE and you will be liberated (FREE) indeed (John 8:32,36)! May it be so!!
