The Rapture of the Church - A Bible Study

Many people reject the solid biblical truth and teaching on the Rapture of the Church. This in depth personal Bible study will walk you through the Holy Scriptures and teach you the basic ABC's and fundamental truths of the Rapture! Bring your Bible and dig into Almighty God's unchangeable truths! You will never be the same!

"For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord" (1 Thess. 4:16,17).

The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!

What i.f. is saying is truth. Years ago my father past away. He was a pastor. This is a warning to all That follow Jesus Christ let alone those who do not. My mother has told me to be carefull not to judge when it came to my brother and sister as i bit my lips in the respect i was walking a fine line of Honouring my mother and exorting my sister and brother. Today after years of telling my mother the truth, she finally caught on to there facade, and they are now in denial and dismay. And she said it is different becuase I am their mother. i said i understand! Just days ago i talked to my sister and talking abought Japan she said God allowed it not caused it to happen...Excuse me....Do not wait like Lot did before the burning of Sodom and Gomorah. Where at the last minute he tried to warn his family and they laughed at him. and as God instructed Lot and his wife to leave and "Not look back" a act of missing those citys and that way of life, and his wife did and turned into a piller of salt. Lot was spared but not his family. i will only quote what i said to my sister "God never changes", "God is Love", He is also a "God of anger and wrath"....But all in all i am here to aclaim he is a "Just" God. Do not put the Truth off any longer be it short time or long there is "NO" time to waste. Sometimes there is a time you have to let go and continue to do what Jesus asks of you. "Pray without ceasing" ie comunicate with God. As i am the least of his brethren. a mere gentile in Love with Jesus Christ.

I think you're doing a great job with this blog. I'm on it every day and I'm amazed at what you have to say about the end times. It's very well written.

I do have one question. With all that's happening in the world right now (and so fast, too) do you believe that the Rapture will be in your (this) lifetime?

Thank you for your kind words and to God be the glory!!

Yes I do. I am not a date setter.. but I truly do believe that it will be very soon!! I am 43. All is in place propheticly. Buy up the time and redeem the day for He is at hand!!

Eph 5:16-17!!
God speed!!

Thank you for your response. I really appreciate it. I, too, am not a date-setter because I know what God's Word says, but it's very nice to know that I'm not the only one who believes the Rapture is very, very soon. Actually, I'm not the only one who believes that. My mother, most of her Christian friends, and our church, believes that the Rapture is very, very close.

"But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only." (Matt. 24:36)

"But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night." (1 Thess. 5:1-2)

First of all, I love your blog! You do a great job of keeping us focused on who really matters! Christ Jesus!

Regarding the pre-tribulation rapture, I agree that it is Pre-"TRIBULATION" event, but the "Tribulation" that both Jesus and Daniel speak of, happens in the second half of the 70th week. (Matthew 24:21, Daniel 12:1)The final 1260 days, or 42 months; or time, times and half a time.

So--yes there is a pre-tribulation rapture, but it will happen after the first half of the 70th week is over, and "before" the second half of the week...begins.

"In the middle" of the seven, he will put an end to sacrifice and offering, the Antichrist--now fully revealed--will set himself up in the temple, proclaiming HIMSELF to BE God. (Dan 9:27, 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4) With this act--He "becomes" the Abomination of desolation spoken of by both Jesus (Matthew 24:15, and Daniel 9:27) This is when he is "revealed", and he MUST be revealed before we are gathered together with the Lord, according to Paul in 2 Thessalonians 2:1,3-4.

It is during this time..."in the middle" of the 70th week--when the dead are raised--and we are "gathered together to meeT the Lord in the air."

It is just prior to, and then also "during" the events of the 7th Trumpet, when the "mystery of God is accomplished" Rev 10:7, 1 Cor 15:51-52)

Pre-wrath rapture is the correct view to hold. God's wrath is pronounced after the sounding of the 7th trumpet in verse 18 of Rev chapter 11. And we know--we are not meant for God's wrath! But to receive salvation through our Lord Christ Jesus. 1 Thess 5:9

We must not be "unwise" virgins--who don't anticipate the delay of the Bridegroom. They are caught off-guard, and they "leave" (apostasy) off from the wise virgins; even as the wise virgins are "prepared" for His delay, they are "ready" to go into the wedding banquet. ("the bride has made "herself" READY"...Rev 19:7-8)

The door of opportunity is closed to those unwise virgins who "left". So even though they see their error--and try to plead with the Bridegroom, "Lord, Lord, open to us"...we know his reply..."I don't 'know' you."

That is the danger of the Pre-trib teaching.People will NOT be prepared for a Mid-Trib, (pre-wrath) rapture...they will be caught off-guard by the events of the first 1260 days of the 70th week. Many will be unwise and will LEAVE! They had only enough "oil" to get them to their pre-determined, "anticipated" timeline. They stumble when they find out they were wrong.

Anyway--just my two cents! God Bless you for your good work for our Lord! =) Laurie

Laurie nailed it! I have been trying to get Christians to honestly evaluate the whole of prophetic Scripture for over thirty years. A very few like laurie have, but most only want their ears tickled. Learn much more at www.TruthandLife.US.

Hi all, i like your blog you really hit the nail on the head. I have a Question if i may. Immanuel, the word of God says, is the name of the only begotten Son of Almighty God Yahweh,Jesus is not. That name comes from ZEUS,which i believe is the name of a pagan god. Besides there is no "J" in Hebrew. I am a child of God,i don't use the term christian which derives from the source as the name Jesus.

I became interested in the end times back in the 70's. I read Hal Lindsey's book, The Late Great Planet Earth. I know it is dated and later in life I came to question him for being in bed with those TBN name it and claim it send me your money type big hair money gospel preachers. Anyway, I always believed in the rapture and was always pre trib. But as I have gotten older I am not really sure anymore.
I have been reading a lot of Michael Heiser's work lately as well as yours,he has a whole page on "Why an Obsession with Eschatology is a Waste of Time"
http://drmsh.com/the-naked-bible/eschatology-discussion/
Now, I still find it interesting, and not really a waste of time but I can see his point. All we can do is try and be ready. Sure, it would be wonderful to be raptured, but I just can not put my hope in something that may not happen to me at least. Lets just say that when it comes to th erapture and being pre trib, I have an open mind.

My dear friend you need to be sure and by having faith in God's Word you can be absolutely sure.

May the good Lord help you see it!
