Will The 2010 Elections Help Today's U.S. Culture and Society?

We should not be overly excited or deceived by the conservative-moderate victories of the 2010 Fall elections, however exciting as they might be. The true heart of the American people has NOT CHANGED for the better. It still is what it has always been over these last 50 years or so: licentious and haughty. Even now many conservatives have been subtly intoxicated and tainted by socialism, godlessness and the immoral practices of the Left (Jer. 6:16-17; Matt. 15:8, 18-20). For example, consider the Republican administration and congress of the last 8 years. Except for a core of faithful true conservatives (fiscal and moral), the movement would have faded away years ago. What makes you think that the heart of these politicians or the American people has changed or will change? It hasn't and it won't. Sadly, the "voter reaction" victories occurring in 2010 (e.g., Scott Brown) will only display the last struggling convulsions of a decadent nation on the precipice of total collapse. I have absolutely no pleasure in making this statement. In fact, I do so with a grieving heart..

What we need today in America is a true to heart - moral and social - revival with the rebuilding and regeneration of the family foundation, which has been decimated by liberalism. When this ideal and natural law is on the ballot box, the moderate independents usually flee to a liberal candidate. Social morality scares them (the moderate) to death. They will and have no problem voting for a fiscal conservative, but they almost will never vote for pro life/pro family, Judeo/Christian values. The moderate Democratic Blue Dogs and Rockefeller Republicans who voted for Reagan  30 years ago were no where as base as today's liberal independent. That is why these despise Sarah Palin and that is why she scares them to death.

The state of our society and modern-day culture here in America is sickening, to say the least. It’s no secret that with the spearhead of the 60’s secular leftist/ socialist movement, America has reaped “a whirlwind” of societal consequences that are indeed devastating.

Secular Liberal Pollution

The non-absolute morality and godless religious ideology of the secular left has permeated into all aspects of our once dominant Judean/ Christian heritage and culture. The Social climate of today’s America is so decadent, so immoral, so polluted, so base and so lewd that it has passed the point of remediation to the point of no return.

The majority of people look at the surface of our societal ills and gullibly think that things aren’t as bad as they seem. The fact is, though, that our society is contaminated to the very core. The steak - as it were - has been left out of the refrigerator too long, and no “conservative ideology” revival or leadership can restore this rotting corpse (see Isaiah 1:5-6). Once a nation is given over to the basest of ideals (i.e., secular socialism) and moral practices, it is just a matter of time before it implodes on itself in rottenness (see Romans 1:18-32). As one who loves my country I take no delight in declaring this, but the present status of our society and culture compels making an objective assessment. May we as a people learn the lessons of history, and may she be our wise teacher. Every nation that has gone down this path has not survived.

A Steak and Its Environment

When a steak (i.e., humanity) is placed in a refrigerator, the cold environment slows down the corruption and spoiling process (see Isa. 64:6; Rom. 3:23). Even under refrigeration the meat will eventually spoil, but the corruption process is slowed down. Such is the Conservative (Right, moral) ideology.

When a steak is left out at room temperature, the corruption process accelerates due to a higher rate of bacterial growth that takes place in a warm environment. Such is the Moderate (Centrist, compromising) ideology.

When a steak is left out in the direct sunlight and high heat, the corruption process accelerates exponentially. Such is the Liberal (Leftist, secular) ideology.

The tremendous impact from the 60’s counterculture revolution is akin to a steak left out at room temperature. In the last 40 years or so since, the corruption process in our society has increased to an extent such that we can see the radical and fundamental changes that have produced countless social ills and catastrophes (refer to the Red Light District America blog from July 2009).

2006 - The Consummation of a Secular and Socialistic America

.When the far left of the Democratic Party took power in the House and Senate in the elections of 2006, the Left began rapidly instituting their radical leftist agenda and nothing has been able to stop it since. Our previous president George Bush, a Moderately Conservative “lame duck” president, would not fight this aggressive agenda “tooth and nail” and supported too much of it. The stage was thus set for our first ever radical leftist, socialist President of these United States, Barak Hussein Obama.

In just the first year of the Obama administration, we have seen a deluge of his leftist agenda. 2009 has seen an exponential change in all facets of government, culture and society. Super-socialism, super-spending, fascist polices, nameless accountability, destructive agendas, countless corruption, mass deception, godless arrogance, and so on and so on.

2009 has been the year in which the steak has been moved from a room temperature climate into the direct heat of the sun. The corruption process of our “steak” culture and society has now been made irreversible. The demonic flies - as it were - have infested this rotten piece of flesh and are leading and participating in America's rapid deterioration (1 Tim 4:1-3). 2009 has been the year of the point of no return for American culture, society and policies in Washington D.C.

Such rapid deteriorating conditions and a global, “reprobate mind” society are setting the stage for the perfect storm, which is the arrival of the ultimate politician and supreme secular fascist - The Man of Lawlessness. He will seek to change the times and the laws (Dan. 7:24, 25) and establish a global fascist state (Dan. 11:36-39; Rev. 13:14-18). He will make war against God’s people, the realities of Almighty God and His eternal sovereignty (2 Thess. 2:8-9; Rev. 13:1-7, 17:12-14). This man will also go as far as to set himself up as god and to be worshiped by all (Matt. 24:15; 2 Thess. 2:4; Rev. 13:4, 8, 12). He and his global fascist state will shortly after meet their doom at the glorious Second Coming of Almighty God the Son, Jesus the Messiah/ Christ (Dan. 7:26, 11:45; Rev. 19:20, 19:11-21).

Our godless nation - and world - is presently on a collision course smack dab into a terrible time of judgment called the Day of the Lord, or The Great Tribulation (Isa. 24; Joel 2:30-32; 1 Thess. 5:31; Matt. 24; Rev. 6:6-17).

The Bible describes the global conditions of the last days as follows:

This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. (2 Tim. 3:1-7)

Let not your heart be troubled. All these things must be. Then shall the Kingdom of Heaven be established forever in Righteousness and Justice! (Isa. 2:4, 11:1-11; Dan. 7:14, 18; Zech. 14: 20-21; Mal 4, Romans 14:17)

Even now Almighty God is calling all humanity (the rotting steak) to repentance and to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, who is the Savior of all mankind. Only Christ can deliver one from the pollutions of the heart (Jer. 17:9) and of this doomed world (Gal. 1:4).

Do you know the Lord Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior? Call on Him today, won’t you? He will deliver you from the bondage of sin and the wrath that is appointed for this sinful world.

In these Last Days may you look to Almighty God and His Word for the encouragement, hope and help you need. Place your trust in Him today! You will never be the same!

If Pastor Terry Jones at the Dove Outreach Center is truly interested in standing up for the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 15:1-4, Galatians 2:5, Ephesians 1:13), we here at the Ignorant Fishermen would like to encourage him to become a missionary of the Good News of Jesus Christ to Afghanistan or Pakistan. This endeavor would provide Terry with an excellent opportunity to speak about the spiritual liberty (Galatians 5:1-5, 2 Corinthians 3:16-17) of the law free gospel of grace (Galatians 2:16; Ephesians 2:8-9) to Muslim communities who are without a Savior, and who are enslaved under a religion (spiritual ideology) that teaches that deliverance from the Day of Judgment is obtained by “good” works from a fallen state (Romans 10:2-4, Galatians 3:10-14).

In Afghanistan and Pakistan, Terry would have unlimited opportunity to become all things to all men (1 Corinthians 9:19-23), as he would be able to speak the TRUTH in love (Ephesians 4:15) to ALL Muslims who do not believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and died on the cross to deliver them from their transgression against their Creator (Romans 3:21-26; 2 Corinthians 5:19-21). Better yet, if Terry - in God’s will - is successful in leading many Muslims to Christ while he is there, perhaps these new believers in Jesus might be willing to voluntarily burn their OWN books as was the case in Acts 19, where Paul’s missionary activity - in the Holy Spirit - (John 16:8-11, 1 Thess. 1:5,8) had reached deeply into the hearts and minds of the Ephesians so that they willingly gave up their prior false spiritual ideologies and practices.

Men and women are made in God’s image (Genesis 1:26-28; James 3:8-9), and this means above all, that they must be treated with the utmost respect, regardless of their cultural background, which is what Almighty God’s infinite love is all about (Luke 9:52-56). God’s love seeks and desires ONLY the absolute highest and best for the object of love. That Divine highest and best (love) is none other than Almighty God’s Son, Jesus Christ and the righteousness He has provided for us (John 3:16-17, 1 John 4:9-11, 1 Cor. 1:30-31). Without Almighty God’s perfect love as God’s Word defines, missionary activity will never be successful.

The great burden of any ministry worth its salt is to be led and governed by the Holy Spirit and to be able to teach the grace of God in such a way that men and women voluntarily – of a free will - give their lives to Christ and begin to be conformed to His image and calling because they comprehend their desperate need for Almighty God’s pardon and righteous perfection found in Christ Jesus (Romans 10:2-4).

This, in fact, is exactly what a saving faith in Jesus Christ is all about as is seen in the transformation of the life of this witchdoctor from Zambia, Africa (2 Cor. 5:17-21, Eph. 2:1-10, 1 Thess. 1:5, 8). After listening to a powerful message on the Gospel of God’s saving grace, this witchdoctor personally responded to the message in faith and became a child of God (John 1:12, Romans 10:17). This witchdoctor - who was under the influence of demonic rulers in high places (Eph. 2:1-0, 6:12) - subsequently burned ALL of his pagan paraphernalia of his own will and accord. The missionary who presented the Gospel of Jesus Christ to him never asked him to burn his materials, nor burned his materials for him. This is the true power of the Gospel of Almighty God’s saving grace and His eternal transforming truth (1 Thess. 1:5, 8). Glory to God in the highest!

Adversity leading to Apostasy (re. Glen Beck’s Restoring Honor Rally)

Finding America now at the crossroads of radical socialism and a return to its traditional roots, tens of thousands of Conservatives went to Washington D.C. to support Glen Beck’s Restoring Honor Rally. We will not get into the details of the rally since much of it is already known by our readers. We would rather focus on the spiritual apostasy taking place and the grand deception of the masses of conservatives appearing in Washington for this event.

Why the Rally

It is no secret that America has lost its way over the last 50 years seeking secular and socialistic solutions for our ills while abandoning our Founding Fathers’ vision of the principles of the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God. The Left’s ever growing aggression against these crucial moral absolutes and those who practice them has left our American family unit, society and culture a horrific wasteland on the verge of absolute social collapse.

In these last two years under a dominating secular socialist media and a secular socialist majority in the House, Senate and Presidency, social decline and decadence in our country has rapidly accelerated. Like never before in our history, the American people are suddenly awakening to the socialistic and secular agenda that is being established right here in the U.S. of A.

Much panic has arisen among conservative and moderate Americans about the current fiscal crisis, high unemployment, the decline of the U.S. Dollar, our nation’s ever growing national debt, socialistic and secular policies engulfing our republican form of government, immigration, the war on terror, its anti-capitalistic mentality, the well-being of our military and the rampant constitutional apostasy transpiring here in America.

These current crises are causing multitudes of thinking Americans to search for solutions and apply themselves as never before. They are scared to death and are desperately seeking leadership and solutions for problems that they thought would never exist. These current crises and adversity brought on by Washington has coincided with a spiritual apostasy taking hold in the Conservative movement which is NOT of Almighty God. As a matter of fact, many are looking to God today because of these crises but are leaving out sound Biblical authority and doctrine in their sincere quest. These are genuinely seeking God on their OWN terms and conditions, which in the end will NEVER fix any situation either here in time or in eternity (Matt. 7:13-20; 15:8-9; Rom. 10:2-4)

Restoring Honor Rally

Present at this event were tens of thousands of individuals from many different “Christian” denominations or various ideologies, and along with them they brought as many different “Christs” created or fashioned by their own family traditions and personal philosophies (Gal. 1:6-9; Col. 2:8; 1 Tim. 6:3-5; Titus 1:15-16).

The problem is that a majority of conservatives today adhere to a relativistic form of Christianity while rejecting outright Almighty God’s biblical plan of salvation by grace. This includes a full accountability to His eternal Person, righteous laws and absolutes (Romans 6:23; Eph. 2:8-9; Titus 1:16).

When push comes to shove - or when “boxed in” by the absolute truth of Almighty God’s Word and authority - these "conservatives" will usually dismiss the authority of the Bible as an unnecessary religious philosophy and slander those who uphold it.

Instead of recognizing the Bible as the Divine and absolute authority of Almighty God (which is absolutely crucial and pertinent for ultimate success in both time and eternity), these “pseudo-conservatives” have gathered by the thousands in an ecumenical apostasy unified under the umbrella of Christendom. Meanwhile the fundamental absolutes of the Creator and His RIGHTEOUS demands are neglected and sadly rejected.

Such compromisers hold to the “social commandments” of God which relate to one's temporal existence but reject the absolute spiritual requirements of absolute righteousness for their eternal well-being. By observing and practicing the golden rule, or participating in certain charitable work and showing human kindness (all of which are noble), they are seeking to gain heavenly merit by these actions which can NEVER compensate or overcome their violation of God’s eternal righteous standards (Romans 3:19-23, 10:2-4; Eph. 2:8-9).

Noble but Not Righteous (Perfect)

Beck’s rally should be praised as Americans seek the old ways, invoking our past history and our Founder’s vision which has made America great, but when tens of thousands are gathered together - including more than 240 clergy members of various denominations with opposing ideologies respecting the person of Christ, and many "works-based" doctrines regarding personal salvation (i.e., how one can “earn” a place in heaven) - the demonic Kool-aid is being drunk (Rev. 17:2).

In seeking a relativistic ecumenical unity in Almighty God’s name while contradicting sound biblical authority… beware! This union is nothing more than a Satanic deception disguised under a banner of virtue, nobility and goodness (Isa. 64:6; Rom. 3:19-23; 2 Cor. 4:3-4; 1 John 4:1). These things are fine (humanly speaking), but APART from the absolute RIGHTEOUSNESS PERFECTION found only in Jesus Christ by faith, such aspirations are only a demonic deception bent on sending multitudes to their eternal doom (Matt. 25: 41). My dear friend, please consider this statement from God’s word, the Bible:

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places (Eph 6:12).

It is far much greater than us and having our small, temporal earthly agendas. We are smack dab in the middle of a horrific spiritual war between the intelligentsia of evil (fallen angels) and God’s eternal sovereignty. That is why God sent His Son to rescue us from this present evil age (Eph. 2:1-22; Gal. 1:4).

Beck the Voice of the Inching Ears

Beck of late has been speaking about God more than any conservative out there. Much of what he has to say sounds right, but when he speaks of a unity on a spiritual level with “conservative Christians” and rejects sound Biblical doctrine as laid out in Almighty God’s Word, thereby invoking spiritual ecumenicalism… stay away!

Lucifer today is seeking to set the stage for his man of lawlessness (2 Thess. 2:3-12). In the eternal (spiritual) sense, unbelieving conservatives are no different than unbelieving secularist. Both political ideologies collectively reject outright the saving grace of Almighty God and seek to establish their own righteousness by their deeds (works) (Rom. 10:2-4; Titus 1:15-15). Though one group is far more humanly virtuous and noble than the other, both groups have fallen completely short of the glory of God (Isa. 64:6; Rom. 3:19-23), and ALL have transgressed Almighty God’s RIGHTEOUS absolutes (given in the 10 Commandments).

No sane individual either right or left can ever say that they have kept God's Perfect Law with their whole heart, soul and mind (Matt. 22:37-38; Rom. 3:19-23; Gal. 2:16-21; James 2:10). No one can ever obtain eternal redemption and salvation by any amount or type of works - no matter how many or virtuous and noble. ALL are guilty and ALL are transgressors of the RIGHTEOUS standards of Almighty God (Isa. 64:6; Romans 3:19-23, 6:23, 10:2-4; Eph. 2:8-9).

The God of Truth and Righteousness

In these last days DO NOT be deceived by the false gospel spoken by smooth voices and subtle cunning inspired by Lucifer’s “angels of lights” (Matt 7:13-20, 24:4-5; 1 Cor. 4:3-4; 2 Cor. 11:13-15; Jude 1:10). Much truth and virtue with a little “cyanide distortion” will bring absolute ruin in the end (Matt. 7:26-28; Rev. 20:10-15). Things may sure look and sound good, but make sure they stand the biblical test of Almighty God’s Holy Word (Col. 2:8; 1 Tim 4:16; 2 Tim. 4:2-4; Titus 1:9-16).

My friend, let me ask you the ultimate question. Do you know the Lord Jesus as your personal Savior, as taught in the Bible? I would challenge you to make yourself absolutely certain of this. In the future many will be utterly horrified when they find out they have trusted a false religious system and deceived themselves by having their own make-believe Jesus (or god) in contradiction to God’s Word and the Spirit of God’s ministry (Matt. 7:21-23, 25:41; Rev. 20:10-15).

We all will be held fully accountable for our transgressions against God's eternal absolutes. Only Christ has perfectly kept the full Law of God with His whole heart, soul and mind. It is ONLY by His FINISHED WORK on the cross of Calvary and by His resurrection from the dead that we can have pardon and find forgiveness (John 19:30; Rom. 10:4; Gal. 2:16-21; Heb. 9:12).

Good intentions pave the way to Eternal damnation. Remember what the Lord Jesus Christ stated:

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I NEVER KNEW YOU: depart from me, ye that work iniquity (Matt 7:21-23).

As the day grows darker - nationally and globally – trust not the many sincere-sounding voices of unbelieving deceivers who are out there, but may you find your hope and eternal expectations ONLY in Almighty God’s dear Son in Spirit and in Truth (John 4:24).

While they are quite dogmatic on the social, moral and fiscal issues in terms of Natural Law, they are NOT so dogmatic about the authority of Almighty God’s Infallible Word (Heb. 10:29; 2 Peter 2:1; 3:16).

The Manhattan Declaration is a document that is intended to unite ultra-conservative Christians from a variety of backgrounds into one political movement. There has been nearly half a million conservative "Christians" that have signed this document (and counting). The overall goal of this alliance is to fight against the Left's global secular push against those who hold sacred Judean/ Christian values. The heart of this document seeks the sanctity of human life, the dignity of marriage as the conjugal union of one man and one woman, and the rights of conscience and religious liberty. These are indeed noble and virtuous ideals, but what is most tragic about this document is that this ecumenical allegiance of "Christians" brings many different FALSE CHRISTS to the table. When it comes right down to it, these place social and moral issues above SOUND Biblical doctrine and its sole authority in all matters pertaining to life and godliness (2 Tim. 3:16-17; 2 Pet. 1:3; 1 John 1:6). This ecumenical compromise is one of the most subtle errors of our day, and many are being drinking the heretical Kool-Aid and are greatly deceived by the type of alliance it promotes. Many of the Religious Right’s conservative activist groups and publications have also sought to encourage their viewers to sign this ecumenical pact.

Jesus stated that in the last days many would come in his Name who DID NOT speak for Him (both conservative and liberal voices). He warned that many deceivers are gone out into the world, and the apostles Paul and John - guided by the Holy Spirit - also warned that many would have itching ears and depart from the faith (Matt. 7:21-23; 24:4; Col. 2:8; 2 Tim. 4:3; 2 John 7).

Although the Manhattan Declaration appears to be a good and noble endeavor for the promotion of social and moral conservative reforms, a great evil exists therein. Look at how these petitioners have fashioned it. Instead of simply putting forth a politically conservative ideology, they have identified themselves with their “Christian” denominations and personal, relativistic beliefs about the Bible. In doing so, they have “crossed the line” of Biblical sanctification and opened wide the doors of apostasy and damnable heresies (Matt. 7:15; Gal. 2:4; 1 Tim 4:1; 2 Peter 2:1; Jude 1:4).

With that said, their position states quite emphatically what is their first priority (Matt. 7:16; Luke 6:44). Make no mistake, adherence to the bases of Natural Law and morality are essential for a healthy society, but these should never be held above the God of Nature and His righteousness (Matt 6:33; 1 Tim. 4:8). One applies only to temporal (time-based) existence, i.e., the “here and now,” and the other lasts throughout all time and eternity (1 John 2:17). In the end, only things wrought in spirit and truth and in Christ will abide forever (1 John 2:17). These two absolutes can never be reversed in order of importance. Natural Law can never supersede God, the Creator of Nature and Nature’s Law. In the end, this reversal will only bring eternal damnation and ruin upon the individual who practices this foolish reasoning and logic (Matt. 7:21-23; 1 John 2:17; Rev. 21:6-8).

In their ignorance and unbelief, these Manhattan Declaration signers have crossed this line and seem to be oblivious to this most pertinent of all realities. They are - perhaps unknowingly - promoting a Conservativism without Christ.

The “Conservative First” Mentality

(This section is for born again believers only who have placed their faith in God’s Savior and saving grace as Holy Scripture dictates (John 1:12; Acts 16:30-31; Romans 5:1, 10:4; Eph. 2:8-9).

Today, many Bible believers and Evangelicals are also drinking the poisonous Kool-Aid of seeking first to be a Conservative rather than a true Christian. The “Tea Partiers” are a great example of this. First let me say that the Tea Party movement in America is desired and needful for the advancement of conservatism, Natural Laws and returning to the founding principles of our nation such as low taxation and small government. American voices absolutely need to be heard today and we should do our part, but for the true believer in Christ, these Tea Parties should NEVER be a replacement for our earthly and heavenly expectations - including Christ’s soon coming (1 Thess. 4:15-18; 1 John 3:2).

I cannot tell you how many Believers and Evangelicals today have gotten all caught up in America's departure and have forgotten that the Day of the Lord is at hand! Oh Beloved, WAKE UP! There is a Great Tribulation coming and a global day of lawlessness on the horizon as our Lord has said (Matt. 24; Rev. 6-19). I say again, WAKE UP, O Ye Sleepers! The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand… even at the very doorstep! (Rom. 13:11; Eph. 5:9-17)

Redeeming the Time Wisely For The Lord

Those who have professed a genuine trust in Christ ought to be looking for His soon coming and redeem the time, for the days are indeed evil (Eph. 5:16; 6:13). That alone should be our “great commission” for the advancement of the gospel (good news), its outworking and fulfillment (Acts 1:8; 2 Cor. 5:18-20; 2 Tim. 1:9). When we (the Ignorant Fishermen Brigade) attend these Tea Parties, we are not only fighting the secular, socialistic powers in Washington D.C. (which is our duty as American citizens here in time), but we are putting forth God’s Word and getting out His gospel (Mark 16:15-16; 1 Cor. 15:2-4) to our fellow conservatives with the message, “The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!”

The failing social and moral issues of the day have apparently consumed and caused many Bible Believers and Evangelicals to stumble and fall. They seem to have taken their eyes off of the Savior and the very hour in which we are living. These individuals are dear, sincere people who just need to redirect their course and current position to get their holy calling and priorities right (1 Cor. 2:2; Gal. 6:14). We should not get discouraged, however, if many do not, for the Lord Himself predicted a great spiritual decline in these Last Days when he asked, “Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?” (Luke 18:8b). This was a rhetorical question with the implied answer, No.

In these Last Days may we be doing our part for “God and country” while never confusing or compromising the given order. May we be seeking ONLY God’s highest and best for all Americans and the world, which is having a saving relationship to Jesus Christ and the reality of sound Biblical teaching of Holy Scripture (2 Cor. 9:13; Phil. 3:12; 1 Tim. 6:2; 2 Tim. 4:15-16).

Wherever we may find ourselves, may our political mantra be: “Servants of Christ FIRST, and a Conservative SECOND.” When we enjoy our healthy standing in Christ and are standing in Him rightly, we will inevitably be a right healthy conservative in everything we do and say (1 Cor. 6:20; 7:31; Col. 1:28; 3:16-17)!
