Beloved, the Holy Spirit’s greatest work in the pilgrim life of a believer is not making us comfortable, but shaping us, breaking us, making us, and conforming us more like His dear, precious Son. From the moment that we trust in Jesus and His the finished work, are born again, and placed in Christ, the Holy Spirit begins His lifelong work of discipleship and transformation. He will use every joy, every trial, and every circumstance to shape our hearts into the image of Jesus. Though the refining process is not always joyful or easy, our loving Heavenly Father never wastes a moment of our time in making a man. Like a potter skillfully shaping the clay, the Holy Spirit is faithfully completing the work He has begun in us and will finish it upon the end of our pilgrim journey. The abiding heart, by faith, cries out to His ETERNAL Potter and Redeemer, on this pilgrim life’s journey, to make a man, Lord Jesus, make a man for Your ETERNAL honor and glory.

Dear friend, this song reminds us that God's divine purposes are ETERNALLY greater than our present trials. It is in the divine processes of this pilgrim life that there is a divine product God wants for us so He can continually build on and display to this fallen world. Through His Spirit, God strengthens us to endure, produces steadfast faith, and assures us that nothing can separate us from His ETERNAL agape love. One day, beloved, His work in us will be complete, and when we see Jesus face to face, it will be worth it all. But until then, beloved, be strong and of good courage, be faithful, endure, shine your light for God’s ETERNAL glory, and never give up the fight, for a “well done, thou good and faithful servant awaits you at the end of your pilgrim journey! Beloved, when you hear those words from our precious Jesus, that indeed will be your greatest reward and blessing to start your ETERNITY with Him.

PRAYER

Father, thank You for faithfully working in us to make us more like Your Son. Help us to trust You through every trial, surrender to Your loving hands, and rejoice in knowing that You will complete the good work You have begun in us. Thank you.

I ask these things in Your precious Name, Lord Jesus; even so come. Amen.
