Dispensationalism - A Clarifying Statement in View of the Confused Theological Climate

THE SCRIPTURES, when interpreted in their natural, literal sense, reveal divinely determined dispensations or rules of life which define man’s responsibilities in successive ages. These dispensations are not ways of salvation, but rather divinely ordered stewardships by which God directs man according to His purpose. Three of these—the dispensations of law, grace, and the millennial rule of Christ—are the subjects of detailed revelation in Scripture (John 1:17; 1 Cor. 9:17; 2 Cor. 3:9-18; Gal. 3:13-25; Eph. 1:10; Col. 1:24-25; Heb. 7:19; Rev. 20:2-6).

Further Clarification Regarding Dispensationalism

When God’s Word, the Bible, is taken in a consistent, literal manner, it will result in dispensationalism. Dispensationalism is the result of a consistently literal and normal interpretation.

A dispensation is a unique stage in the outworking of God’s program in time, whereby mankind is to have a believing response, being responsible to be a good steward of the particular revelation which God has given (Eph. 3:2,9; Col. 1:25; Exodus 34:27-28; Gal. 3:10-12; 1 Tim.1:4; Eph. 1:10; etc.).

The Church is a distinct body of believers which was not present on earth during the Old Testament period and which was not the subject of Old Testament prophecy (Eph. 3:1-9; Col.1:25-27). In accord with God’s program and timetable, the Church is on earth between the two advents of Christ with the beginning of the Church taking place after Daniel’s 69th week (on the Day of Pentecost, Acts 2) and with the completion of the Church’s ministry on earth taking place at the rapture before the commencement of Daniel’s 70th week (Dan. 9:24, 27). During this interval of time God is visiting the nations to call out a people for His Name (Acts 15:14-16; Eph. 3: 1-11; Rom. 11:25). Indeed, the Church is God’s called-out assembly.

The terms "Israel," "Israelite," and "Jew," are used in the New Testament to refer to national, ethnic Israel. The term "Israel" is used of the nation or the people as a whole or the believing remnant within. It is not used of the Church in general or of Gentile believers in particular. Saved Gentiles of this present age are spiritual sons of Abraham who is the father of all who believe (Rom. 4:12, 16; Gal. 3:7,26,29), whether Jews or Gentiles; but believing Gentiles are not Israelites [that is, they are not the sons of Jacob]. The Israelites are carefully defined by Paul in Romans 9:4-5.

In every dispensation God’s distinctive programs are outworked for His great Name’s sake, and in every dispensation persons have always been saved by grace through faith (Eph. 2:8; Gen.15:6; Heb. 11:4-7; Rom. 4:1-8). We believe that the glory of God is the determining principle and overall purpose for God’s dealings with men in every age and that in every dispensation God is manifesting Himself to men and to angels so that all might redound to the praise of His glory (Eph. 1:6,12,14; 3:21; Rom. 11:33-36; 16:27; Isa. 43:7; 1 Tim. 1:17).

Literal Interpretation

The Bible must be interpreted literally which is the way language is normally and naturally understood. We recognize that the Bible writers frequently used figurative language which is a normal and picturesque way of portraying literal truth. The Bible must be understood in the light of the normal use of language, the usage of words, the historical and cultural background, the context of the passage and the overall teaching of the Bible (2 Tim. 2:15). Most important, the believer must study the Bible in full dependence upon the SPIRIT OF TRUTH whose ministry is to reveal Christ and illumine the minds and hearts of believers (John 5:39; 16:13-15; 1 Cor. 2:9-16). The natural, unregenerate man cannot understand or interpret correctly the Word of God. The things of God are foolishness to him, he cannot know them (1 Cor. 2:14), and his mind is blinded (Rom. 3:11; 2 Cor. 4:3-4).

As the world at this time is in fatalistic panic and dire need, Lucifer will provide them with his man of lawlessness, i.e., the Anti – Christ.

There is no greater way for this Master puppet master to grab power and install radical laws and ruthless policies than when a people and nation are at the very place of lawlessness, poverty and suffering. In this place they are the most open for deception. They are consumed by their daily needs, lawless consequences and are quite willing to even sell their very souls to him for a temporal remedy and a piece of meat or a loaf of bread. As the world - now and in the near future - is in a fatalistic panic and dire need, Lucifer will provide his puppet slaves of unbelief with "serpents and scorpions" and eventually his man of lawlessness, i.e., the Anti – Christ (Rev. 13). Since these have rejected Almighty God's natural laws and the ETERNAL RIGHTEOUS absolutes of Almighty God and His saving grace, the world’s inhabitants will be in a state of spiritual darkness and ripe for making a deal with the Devil himself to their ETERNAL doom and ruin (Matt. 25:4, 2 Thess. 2:9-12, Rev. 13,14:9-11). At this point, man’s casual unbelief will be channeled and focused into a powerful laser beam of violence and absolute defiance against Almighty God and His program (2 Thess. 2:2-12).

Such events are unfolding right before our very eyes. As we are witnessing today the pending collapse of the western social order and the global markets, the increasing sounds of the steps of the soon coming Day of the Lord are ringing louder and louder. We as believers truly need to be fully redeeming the time and seeking what Almighty God's will is for our lives here in time (Eph. 5:16-17), for the days are deadly and evil indeed!

My friends, this life is but a penny, easily spent and giving very little satisfaction in doing so. We are here for just a brief moment, and then we are gone (Eccl. 1:1-3). To put “all of our eggs” into the temporal and doomed basket of this life is the height of insanity, rebellion and unbelief. ETERNITY is our future and we must all be ready for it on God’s terms, which are holiness and perfect righteousness. That righteousness is only found in Jesus Christ (Romans 10:2-4).

What is Sin?

WHO DO YOU SAY THAT I AM?

Today more than ever, people have a hazy and fuzzy (distorted) view of who the Savior of the World, God’s Son Jesus Christ truly is. Various opinions regarding Jesus may have been formed from a religious upbringing or education, personal experiences, etc. Whenever you ask someone who Jesus is, it will usually sound a lot like the person describing Him to you. They say, “He was a great teacher,” or “He was a Good Man,” or “He died on the cross,” etc. You see, even in Jesus day, there were many who were confused and troubled about who God’s Messiah to the world was. When Jesus entered into Jerusalem on the Sunday before the Great Passover feast (our Palm Sunday), multitudes upon multitudes welcomed Him (Matt. 21:9) but after three days the same multitudes cried, “Crucify Him! Crucify Him! (Matt 27:11-26, Luke 23:18-24)” How could this be? It was because the multitudes had their own perception and personal view of who Jesus was, one that was not rooted in reality or in the truth of Holy Scripture.

WHO DO YOU SAY THAT I AM?

The big question at hand is this, “Who really was Jesus?” Is it important to know God’s Christ - the Christ of Holy Scripture - and His teachings of salvation for humanity? My friend, the answer to this literal life and death question is: it surely is. It is a matter of Eternal Life or Eternal Death!

The Lord Jesus Christ and The Holy Scriptures give many warnings of False Christs and false teachings that would come into the world to deceive and mislead people. What purpose would such deceptions serve, you might ask? To keep people from obtaining God’s Eternal Life and Pardon of Sin! (See Matthew 7:15-17; 24:4-5, 23, 24; Mark 13:5-6, 22; Luke 21:8; 1 Tim 4:1-2, 16; 2 Tim 3:12-13; 1 John 2:22-23; 4:1; 2 John 7).

Question #1: Does the “Jesus” in whom you are putting your trust line up with the reality and truth of The Lord Jesus of the Holy Scriptures? That is a very sobering question indeed; a question which many are too afraid to deal with. Jesus stated, "God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth." (John 4:24)

Question #2: Do you know the Lord Jesus Christ of the Scriptures? May it be your sincere desire to look into this matter with a contrite (broken) and humble heart in light of the most serious (eternal life and death) consequences to be faced (1 John 5:12).

My friend, take a good look into the eyes of the beast of reality. What hope do you see for humanity? If we dare to be objective and real with ourselves, what we will see is absolute despair, hopelessness and doom for mankind. This narcissistic addiction for power and control from this “pee-wee potentate” is plain to see for all. In the "name" of his subtle and deceiving concerns and personal causes, he is rapidly transforming our post constitutional republic into a tyrannical lawless state. 

President Obama sees himself “above” Almighty God, the law and outside of its healthy Divine restrictions.

Just as our founding fathers sternly warned us of what would be - when morality and sound biblical absolutes and principles are outright rejected by our leaders and the people; so has it become here in America today.  It should be very clear for all who have eyes to see Obama's anti biblical zeal and war against the God of all Creation. O lawless and foolish leaders of America, you for your vain moment upon this doomed planet are heaping ETERNAL wrath upon yourselves unto that GREAT Day which will burn as a fire (Deut. 4:24, Heb. 9:27, Rev. 20:11-15). The leaders and tyrants of this nation and fallen world ONLY mind the things of this fallen temporal world (Rom. 1:18-32, 8:5-9, 1 Cor. 2:14, Jude 1:10). As they seek to outwork their godless existence they deceive themselves and others to what is FULLY coming for them in the future (Rom. 1:18-32, 1 John 2:15-17, Rev. 20:11-15). These are only a vapor seeking to last and reign FOREVER while their lives are at their best full blown vanity without Almighty God's saving solutions (Eccl., Acts 4:12, James 4:14, 1 John 2:15-17). We as fallen human beings are just here on this earth for a brief moment and then we are gone FOREVER as billions of humans before us can testify (Eccl. 1-12, Heb. 9:27). Many great American statesmen and presidents who have rejected Christ such once placed their fallen hand on the Word of Almighty God and pledged their allegiance to the Constitution of America and Almighty God's RIGHTEOUSNESS only to violate both. Their godless ambitions in the end were vain and possessed absolutely no ETERNAL RIGHTEOUS weight to them, only ETERNAL judgment and wrath (Eccl. 1-12, Matt. 25:41, John 8:44, Rom. 3, Heb. 9:27, James 4:14, Rev. 20:11-15). Indeed, ALL that is done here on planet earth from Adam's fall to the end of the Kingdom Age - if done outside of Almighty God's saving grace - is indeed ABSOLUTE VANITY and at war with Almighty God and His RIGHTEOUSNESS. This sobering REALITY and thought ought to send chills of fright and horror into every soul who is outside the saving grace of Almighty God. Almighty God has provided in His ETERNAL LOVE a propitiation for Adam's fallen race in Jesus Christ and those who reject it will be held accountable for their godless and lawless works (conservative or liberal) - Matt.12:34-36, John 3:16-17, 36, 5:39-40, Rom. 3:23, Rev. 20:11-15.

Almighty God has provided in His ETERNAL LOVE a propitiation for Adam's fallen race in Jesus Christ and those who reject it will be held accountable for their godless and lawless works (conservative or liberal).

As President Obama has been sworn into office, may he give ear and heed unto the words and Divine warnings of those of the redeemed of Almighty God. Do not deceive yourselves, for EVERY idle word and oath which you state, swear to and do which contradicts the RIGHTEOUS ETERNAL Word of Almighty God WILL be brought into judgment; make no mistake about that (Ex. 20:7, Numb. 23:19, Matt.12:34-36, Heb. 9:27, Rev. 20:11-15).

Here are some Bible passages which speaks of the ETERNAL RIGHTEOUS ABSOLUTE Word and Name of Almighty God.

"Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father (Phil. 2:9-10)."

"You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that takes his name in vain (Ex. 20:7)."

"I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy loving kindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name (Psalm 138:2)."

"Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing. And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever (Rev. 5:12-13)."

"You shall not misuse the name of the LORD your God, for the LORD will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name (Deut. 5:11)."

"Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away (Matt. 24:35).

America's Deaf Ear to the Biblical Warning Sirens!

Today the signs and warning sirens are loudly roaring. The shofar (ram’s horn) blast of alert is piercing into every facet of the U.S.A. and all civilization. While the Biblical evidence is OVERWHELMING with events transpiring daily, the masses of Americans go about their narcissistic lives with a deaf ear to the warning cries of those who comprehend the very hour and what is coming.

Even now, how true is Proverbs 1:24-31 of those in this day. How will they escape such global calamity? My friend, this is very sobering: they WILL NOT (1 Thess. 5:3b)!

My friend, today as you hear this message of warning, harden not your hearts.

My friend, today as you hear this message of warning, harden not your hearts to the ETERNAL love and strong hand of deliverance found in Almighty God’s Savior for the world, the Lord Jesus Christ (Heb 4:2). Make a strong and valiant attempt to be objective about the real reality and true condition of fallen (unregenerate) man. Six thousand years of human history attests to the fact of man’s violent attitude and godless actions. How can men bring about a global utopia from the wretched state in which they exist?

While the Biblical evidence is overwhelming with events transpiring daily, the masses of Americans go about their narcissistic lives with a deaf ear.

Before the foundation of the world, Almighty God already had the remedy and solution for Adam’s fallen race (Rom. 5:12-19; 1 Peter 1:18-20; Rev. 13:8).

The Bible states: "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him" (John 3:16-17).

"Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father" (Gal 1:4).

Oh my Friend, what hope there is! What love divine! What deliverance from the godless ramifications of fallen humanity! Almighty God has a plan and purpose for YOUR life here in time and a glorious ETERNAL future for you free from the tyranny of sin and the fallen effects of this broken world (1 Cor. 2:9).

How can men bring about a global utopia from the wretched state in which they exist?

As surely as the sun will rise tomorrow, the events of  “The Day of the Lord” will take place! Be NOT a scoffer or mocker of the warnings from God’s Infallible and Inspired Word (2 Peter 3:3, Jude 1:18).

We have already seen and experienced the horrific events that transpired on September 11, 2001. May we hear with our ears the message and reality of the coming global day of wrath and not dismiss it as foolish heresay.
