A Review of Sarah Palin’s New Book: “Going Rogue, An American Life”

I just finished listening on my IPod to Sarah Palin’s new book, “Going Rogue, An American Life.” I personally found this book to be quite fascinating, encouraging, positive and full of old school values which are absolutely missing from American culture today. No wonder why the American Left hates this book and Mrs. Palin. All that Sarah stands for is a threat to their secular, liberal, nanny-state ideology.

This book starts off with a call to Mrs. Palin at the Alaska State Fair from John McCain headquarters, then delves into the personal autobiography of Sarah’s life up to the present. It includes her struggles, joys, achievements, hard work, family, political service, overcoming endurance and singleness of vision for America - the land that she loves.

I personally love knowing what makes people tick - what’s behind their core beliefs and how it motivates them and their lives. Her “old school” upbringing of faith in God, hard work, family and love of country is what people love about her and what is truly gripping in this read. Her genuine honesty about life’s realities, joys and trials are quite refreshing in light of the current political hypocrisy that dominates the elite class of Washington’s aristocracy. She is truly an overcoming victor in the midst of life’s trials and tribulations.

This book had me glued to it. In the audio version, Mrs. Palin personally narrates her book with passion and with authenticity that is warm and personal to the listener. She answers all the questions that one might have about her in the light of her rush to popularity within the last year.

In this book Sarah talks about her upbringing, her family, her son Trig, her faith in Almighty God, her political career (Mayor, Governorship, and her VP run with John McCain) her “Going Rogue,” Katie Couric’s unprofessional, hit piece interview, the limitations that the moderate GOP put on her while running with John McCain, the political debauchery of present day Washington D.C., Reaganism, Conservatism, her love for country and her vision for America future.

This book is a tribute to the American dream, to all women and to all who work hard and possess steadfast determination with much endurance. These attributes when applied will bring about the success and a fruitful and encouraging life to all, as Sarah and others have shown us. In the eyes of the elite of Washington D.C., Mrs. Palin should never have been successful. All the things that she achieved were done without Big Government’s intervention.

To dislike this book and this dear American is to abhor the American dream, our Judean/ Christian heritage, morality, traditional family values, hard work and the ideals of our Founding Fathers and the American dream!

This book is a must read for all Conservative men and women, and for all Americans in general. Sarah’s life is a true success story - one which our Founding Father’s dreamed and envisioned for all Americans. Who knows what potential and future success that Mrs. Palin’s life holds? With Almighty God’s watchful care and Providential outworking in her life, her potential is limitless. I truly believe Sarah is the Deborah (see Judges Chapters 4 and 5) of today for America, and she was raised up to be a leader in America in light of its falling stature and decline. God’s hand is indeed upon her – that’s for sure!

This book receives 5 Golden Fishes!

God Bless America and God Bless Sarah Palin!

I know I have said this before, but I will say it again and again and again:

I hope that Sarah Palin never goes away. No woman since Eleanor Roosevelt has done more for progressive politics in this country than she.

One of the best things Sarah Palin has done is to expose the hypocracy of the democrat party in general, and liberals in particular, in their true feelings about women climbing the ladder of success. This may ultimately result in women realizing that all the dems and liberals use them for is cannon fodder. That in addition to showing that a woman or a man for that matter, doesn't have to have a rich powerful family, the support of a political machine, or even an official title to have a major impact on events that concern them.

The reason why Palin has come under fire for resigning as governor is few can understand someone who willingly surrenders power, anyone else, Tim Pawlenty for example, will hang on to power and use the taxpayers dime to pursue personal ambition. You didn't see 0bama resign his seat to devote almost his entire time in the senate pursing his personal ambition, and not representing the people of IL.

My wife and I will both vote for Sarah Palin if she choses to run for president in 2012 or 2016.

I would love for you guys to explain how such a God fearing woman raises a child who has premarital sex which results in a bastard child.

She gives Faith a bad name by way of her snarky attitude. No self respecting Christian should behave the way she does. Her book is nothing but a drawn out vengeful rant. Vengeance is something I cannot condone as a Christian.

Your love for Sarah Palin has more to do with your wretched hatred of democrats than her devotion to Faith. Hate has no place in our Church. Surely something more positive can come out of the Republican Party which represents true Christian values and not some vendetta geared towards ridding the world of people whose opinions differ from our own.

Here come the haters... and they always are Anonymous ..lol

Firstly, To answer your first question it's called free will... her daughter has to make her own choices... Sarah can not make it for her. Sorry she kept the baby and didn't abort it.. That’s what’s really is bothering you isn’t it.

Second.. You’re not a True Christian if you do not like this book or Sarah. Your most likely a lib apostate Christian. A Bible twisting and rejecting Christian.

Thirdly.. You are right, the godless Left is an abomination in our noses. It is rooted immorality, non personal responsibility, and upside down bazzarro world views governed by pure emotion with out any absolutes (natural and spiritual) in what God's Word states (2 Tim 3:1-7).
“This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.”
The proper application of sound judgment is not hate or is applying morality… hate. You people love to throw that word around in your emotional offend way. You are offend because you choose to violate morality and are not accepted in your godless way. We are not perfect… God knows but we believe in moral and sound judgment and redemption that is found in Christ. We know we are sinners and need a Savior. Is that position a holier than Thou position…. it is not!

My Friend, Let go of your hate and let the God of reality and of the Bible set you free. Be objective not inwardly subjective and bitter. Have faith in Almighty God in spirit and truth and He will set you free (John 8:32,36)!

Thank you for your reply and We truly only wish Almighty God’s highest and best for you!

Anonymity is the only option I could select. I don't have a Google account, Open ID, or a URL to attach to any name. Provide better choices for visitors to choose from before overanalyzing us. My name is James and I am from Charlottesville, Virginia. That should settle the problem you seem to have with anonymity.

Thank you for making my case. You cannot defend the indefensible. Had this been any other child, your pitch forks would have been in the air. Oh no. It was the child of your beloved Sarah. Take the blinders off. Free Will? She had the baby out of wedlock. Does that not irk you? Perhaps you don't apply your beliefs evenly and you give exception to those you deem "better" Christians than others. The path of forgiveness runs through the valley of honesty.

Christianity does not have a political party. You either walk the path of Jesus or you don't. I am a registered Republican, but as a Christian, I cannot stomach the vile behavior people like you exhibit.

"You people"
I think you need to understand who you are talking to, sir. I am a man of Faith and along with love, I have embraced humility through His teachings. If you are implying I am some sort of heathen, you are quite mistaken. Your passive-aggressive nature stinks of arrogance and self righteousness. The Bible does not teach such things. God's love does not involve demonizing your fellow man.

Much like a RINO, you are, by all accounts, a Christian In Name Only. You do our Faith a grave injustice standing on your pedestal demanding we all love Sarah Palin, lest we are not true Christians.

What you must accept is, as it stands, the Left has a much bigger tent and their constituents range from Pro-Life to Pro-Choice Democrats, devout Christians, and secular, and everything in between.

Our tent, on the other hand, is shrinking and I am finding great difficulty standing among such bigoted beliefs, sprouted not from love through Him, but through selfish desires and bigoted ideals. Sarah Palin does not represent my Christian values nor the values of my Church. She does a great disservice to people of Faith everywhere when she is on the attack.

We are all Gods children, Left, Right, and Center. The difference is, some of us use our Faith for positive things and people like you abuse scripture and the Word of God. You empower the secular who accuse us of being bigoted and closed off from the rest of the world. You give ammunition to those who criticize our Faith and label us zealots. We are not immune from fault. Some of us are better at accepting that than others. I pray that my Republican Party will push out people like you who are on a path towards destruction. Hate is what you are pushing and somehow, you find solace in that by ending every discussion with pseudo-love in the form of prayer. No. That is not the love of Christ.

Wow, My friend Lot of rage there. How about signing your first name at the end of your rant. We get a lot of hit and runs that is why I stated that.

Her Daughter was wrong but is making the best of the situation. We are very gracious. We are not out to condemn everyone Right or Left. If there is a contrite heart after the trespass then we want to encourage one to do right. If not then we want to explain to them their faults and errors. How does Sarah’s daughter make her a hypocrite? It doesn’t

The Bible - God’s final Authority - states that only those who have faith in Christ and receive Him are Son (Children) John 1:12. We are all His creation not all His children (John 1:12, Matt 7:21-23)

Sorry to offend you. But we are at a disconnect and are at two opposite views. No matter what I would state it would only bring an opposing reaction from you. I was quite clear in the last response.

All the best,
David
